AmazonBasics DSLR and Laptop Backpack (Orange)

> 24 hourI got the orange one. Its built as good as anything else Ive used. It fits my Canon 650D, and 5~6 lenses and a flash however I want quite well. Ive loaded it with heavy `L telephotos (70-200 F4L) and heavy Tokina wide angle lenses (11-16 F2.8) as well as several primes and it was heavy, but it held fine and I didnt have anything shuffle while I hiked. The front has pockets for accessories. The middle is the main storage for gear. The rear has a slot for a laptop but I use it for waterproof stuff, towels, gloves, hats, etc. I dont think you want a hard laptop/tablet on your back, behind your heavy lenses. Its not waterproof, but comes with a water resistant cover that you can fit over it if youre out in the rain and this works well. Ultimately it does the job, is built well, protects my stuff and is actually comfortable. Zippers are well made and strong. Cant go wrong for this price. The fact that it says Amazon on it instead of Canon is also nice, less people stare at it knowing what it is and think its just a backpack and not a storage bag with $5k+ of equipment.

> 24 hourThis is a great camera bag for the beginning to intermediate photographer for the price, features & durability. The bright orange interior makes it easy to find camera equipment & accessories. My only suggestions would be to reconfigure the strap setup.. they are really long, and the belt isn’t necessarily something you need to use on a daily basis, and would be better served as an option (like the interior colors are) or a removable accessory. I would also recommend a different zipper/fastening system because these zippers tend to come undone on their own if they’re left at the top of the bag if the bag is full and the internal weight distribution isn’t very balanced while you just walk around. I love how much this bag can hold, and for the price, it’s a no-brainer. You will look at every camera bag differently after owning one of these and using it every day.

> 24 hourI had this backpack for a bit over nine months and today the zipper broke. Granted I do real estate photography 5+ days a week nearly every week - so the zipper gets opened and closed a LOT. This bag isnt too bad and should hold up for a few years or more with occasional use. Also, this bag is not at all rainproof. Unlike my old (and much more expensive) Lowepro bag, there is no water-resistant coating on the fabric whatsoever. Dont count on it keeping your gear dry while walking in the rain. Anyways, its not bad for the price and for occasional use. No other bag of this size and with these features even comes close to the low price of this one. Also, I had a chat with customer service and they cheerfully refunded my money after reporting my experience with the broken zipper.

> 24 hourNice camera bag for the price. The orange interior does make it easy to find small parts but probably not much more than the grey. It doesnt have as many storage pockets as more expensive bags but for $40 its pretty good. Still, would be nice to have more. Carefully inspected the bag upon receipt. No problems with the stitching or the zippers. Looks like it will hold up well unless its just carelessly abused. The shoulder straps are comfortable and surprisingly thicker than I expected. So is the back. The laptop compartment is huge and will accommodate a 17 easily. My 15.6 HP and 10.5 Samsung tablet fit no problem. The included rain cover is a nice addition as the bag will probably not provide much protection in even light to moderate rain. The bag is deep and protrudes outward significantly if that is a concern, but it holds its shape and does a good job of standing upright. The interior padding is good all around and the Velcro pads in the camera compartment attach securely. Would be nice if Amazon included a couple more. What you see in the pics is what you get. Im a little concerned the mesh pocket in the front will hold up. The bottom couldve been sewn stronger and the material almost feels brittle. The only other concern I really have is the rubber handle on top. Just doesnt feel durable. Very soft rubber. Overall, its a good bag if you dont want to spend a lot of money and I would buy it again.

> 24 hourThis thing is huge, keeps all my camera gear in one place which means it is heavy. Another issue, Im not very organized so the infinite configurations possible, are a bit over whelming. Having said that, this has worked out great for what it is. If you want to have everything available in a convenient pack this works great, throw it in the trunk of the car and pick out what you need for the day/event. I keep two Nikons with lenses installed, a flash, several additional lenses, batteries, chargers, manuals, notebook, full-sized tripod(outside straps), plus a bunch of odds and ends, also theres room for my old 17 laptop, though substituting the 15 laptop or 7 tablet instead, helps keep the weight manageable. It is pretty well padded and seems to be well constructed and durable, time will tell. Theres enough padding/mass that, I think, in the trunk, heat will be mitigated sufficiently that I neednt worry about leaving it there for the day. The orange interior is great and from the outside, with the tripod removed, it is not obvious it contains a few thousand dollars worth of camera equipment.

> 24 hourGreat camera/laptop backpack! Much better than I expected. Im a professional photographer and used to paying a few hundred dollars for a bag that meets my needs. I bought this bag to carry my photo equipment and laptop to a destination wedding shoot in Aruba. I needed something I could carry on the flight that would accommodate my photo equipment, my laptop and tablet (all my expensive gear that I didnt want to check). It fit all of that comfortably and was a great carry on item for the flight. The backpack style made going thru the airport much easier than other style camera bags. Items I loaded in the bag for flight: Two Nikon DSLR camera bodies. Two nikon SB 800 flash units, Portrait Zoom, Long Range Zoom, Camera Battery Charger, Flash Batteries(28-rechargeable AA) and charger, 15.6 Laptop with AC adapter cord and mouse , 8 Tablet, various cables (usb-etc) Inside pockets are padded adjustable, and I felt very secure that my expensive gear was as safe as possible, especially when it was on my back. Looks more like a book bag than a camera bag, so I would guess it would be a bit less of a target. I purchased the bag thinking I would only use it on jobs that required an airplane flight, but it has since become my everyday bag. Easy to carry and easy to work out of. 9 months later its holding up very well showing no signs of wear! My only complaint as an everyday bag would be that its got too many straps, and I wish some could be removed. The waist strap is great when the bag is fully loaded and going for a long trek through an airport, but I generally dont carry anything but my camera equipment to a job and never use the waist strap and it gets in the way when not in use would be awesome to be able to remove it and the straps that are designed to hold a tripod which I rarely use either. Overall one of the better purchases Ive made from Amazon, great price great bag!

> 24 hourThis backpack is surprisingly sturdy and an exceptional value. I typically load a lot of gear into it... my Nikon D500, 3-4 lenses (including a hefty 150-600mm Tamron lens), filters, and backup gear. It even holds a tripod - an essential for landscape and astrophotography. I’ve been hiking with all that gear many times and not had a problem with weight or comfort. I usually bring a lighter travel tripod though - my Manfrotto is just too heavy to carry along with all the other gear - my problem, not the backpacks. My one wish... would be that it had quick release buckles on the shoulders. It would be so much easier to put on/drop my fully loaded pack if I could unclip a shoulder strap. A very small complaint for a great bag that I use all the time.

> 24 hourOne thing I have to admit that whatever AmazonBasics products have tried have been super satisfied. Prior trying this bag I had the smaller version of this bag from AmazonBasics and it was super rugged. I used that bag very carelessly for around 4 years and it can still go for many years. I recently upgraded my camera and added gears too. So my I was looking for a new backpack that fits my new camera, all the gears and my ASUS 15.6 inches laptop. I first tried

> 24 hourA long time ago, I watched a video by someone (I forgot whom) who recommended this backpack to carry around deck boxes and the like for Magic: the Gathering (and Im sure this pertains to other card games as well). I found it in my Save for Later section and decided I had the money for an upgrade like this and got it. No regrets! UltraPro Satin Tower deckboxes fit perfectly within the padded sections inside the second pocket. The first pocket is a little tight, but you can fit one binder in there comfortably. There is a side pocket with clipped straps that holds a playmat tube perfectly, and the smallest third pocket is great for pens/pencils, life point pads, dice, etc. I have just *one* complaint. Because the backpack is designed for taking your camera on hikes or something (I really dont know the photography culture at all), there are clips for your waist. There is no way to remove these clips, and they get in the way. I tried tightening them as much as they go, but then they sit on my lower-back annoyingly, and the strap hangs down and looks like Im wearing a badly-made tail. Overall, wonderful backpack. Seconding whomever recommended it for Magic cards. 5 stars!

> 24 hourRecently, I purchased a new Canon 80D and Tamron 150-600 lens to take to Africa for a Once in a lifetime Safari trip. I spent weeks trying to find the right Camera Backpack that would not only fit the camera gear and the big Tamron lens, but would also carry all of the regular travel items that I would take with me on a trip like that.... THIS BACKPACK IS PERFECT! Not only does this backpack hold the two camera bodies, 4 lenses, tripod, and extra camera gear that I am taking to Africa; But, it also fit comfortably my laptop and iPad, several file folders, Bose headphones, sunglasses case, mouse, cords, batteries and snacks that I am going to need on the plane for the 30 hour journey. In addition to the great storage space, this backpack was only $40.00 and according to my teenage daughter, did not look big and bulky like the Manfroto Backpack I was comparing it too. The only downside that I found on this backpack was the hip straps could not be easily detached when you were not going to be using them. Otherwise, this was a perfect find for me.
