Great camera bag at a great price. Two long and 5 short Velcro removable partitions plus two hold down Velcro straps to hold camera items safe and secure. Two outside Velcro-secured pouches. Two large zippered flat storage areas: The area located close to your back (shoulder strap(s) side) good for a laptop...probably 17 inch display size. The other large flat storage area, furthest from your back, has lots of pouches of varying sizes including a mesh-type pouch. A clip I believe for retaining a set of keys is located here. Lots of adjustments for the shoulder straps including waist straps. A couple of Velcro fastening straps on the outside of the bag will hold a light-weight tripod secure. The camera bag is relatively large and looks durable. The bag has not been used yet. Ive set the bag up for a DMC-G6 with 14-140mm lens attached, an HF-R600 with lens hood, two Zoom H1 recorders with shock-mounts attached (one with a ball-joint), bar with two 1/4-20 bolts (for mounting H1 plus HF-R600 side-by-side). A 72 inch tripod on the side of the bag. Hand hold or use the shoulder bag with a Magnus VT-350 tripod. Could even bring a 7 inch Viltrox monitor but with the battery removed (for HF-R600). Hope to use the camera bag soon. Also, a rain hood is included to make a more water resistant enclosure.

Im happy with this camera bag. The cushioned walls are soft but supportive. The removable straps and mini-walls inside the bag make it nicely customizable, and the layout of the pockets and such are useful. I havent had the bag long, but Ive used it on some long shoots and one long vacation, and there are no tears or undone seems -- so far. The construction seems solid, overall. Im not thrilled with the tripod straps on the side. The pocket below the straps -- which some people use to stick a tripod leg into when carrying the tripod alongside the bag -- does not work for my large tripod, so I have to rely on the straps/clips to keep the tripod in place. In hindsight, I think a bag that carries the tripod below the bag is more secure and balanced. I also wish that some of the additional straps (like the large strap that wraps around my stomach) were removable. But overall, Im happy with the bag, especially at this price point.

This bag is very impressive. I dont think Ive ever purchased a bag that was this good, at this price point. It has features that usually are found in bags priced in the $99-$199 range. The interior padding is very thick and firm, the straps and stitching is incredibly strong, and the padding on the back and straps is extremely comfortable. It even has a waist strap which I havent been able to find on similarly priced bags from other manufacturers. The carry handle has a nice strong molded rubber grip on it, and the included rain fly is more than adequate for protecting anything you have inside. This bag looks very small, especially compared to the average 3-day pack, but it seems bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. I have all my gear that I would want to take on a nice trip or excursion, plus food and clothes for three days, and a 15 ultrabook, and it fit everything perfectly without even having to squeeze it in and compress it down. The straps on the side can hold a tripod, a sleeping pad, a jacket, or anything else you want, and cinch down tightly enough that whatever you put there wont go anywhere unless you want it to. This pack is also very unassuming in appearance, and doesnt shout I have valuable stuff please steal me. It also doesnt have the overly tactical appearance that some other bags from Oakley or Maxpedition seem to have these days. It really does just look like an average, run-of-the-mill book bag, and when set on the ground at an airport or train terminal seems to shrink a bit. The construction is very rigid and firm, due to the foam inside, and it holds its shape amazingly well. Theres no need to prop it up on something, it wont fall over and doesnt buckle or deform from the weight of what you have inside it. Overall, Im extremely impressed with what showed up on my doorstep; I intend to test the heck out of it over the next several months, and should any of the straps, buckles, or stitching fall apart (which at this point really does seem highly unlikely) I will update this review to reflect the issue. Amazon, great job guys.

Have now had this item for over 6 months and taken 4 trips with it so I think I can review it with some certainty. No zippers have failed, no stitching has unraveled, despite somewhat over filled it has not failed to fit under the seat on any airplane so far, even including the smaller regional jets. When I first got it I was having real problems with my left shoulder so I was being really careful with it, but in the last few months I have been able to wear it properly and it makes getting through airports with short connections much easier than my shoulder slung bag used previously. I carry a Surface and a leather document portfolio along with books or magazines in the large pouch nearest the straps. A digital SLR along with 70-200mm, 200-500mm, 28-70mm, flash, GPS, power chargers, cables, flashlights, binoculars, etc. etc. all fit. The only thing I noticed, dont close the zippers on that big back pocket and leave them up near the handle, pull both down to one side or the other. The weight of the rest of the pack caused them to unzip and for it to partially flap open. Had I not noticed it I might have lost items. I have not has a repeat since being sure they are to one side or the other. In short a spacious back that does fit under airline seats and seems pretty rugged so far.

I bought this for my first ever trip going really anywhere, so this firs time was to Kauai! This bag was PERFECT! I LOVE the hiking type waist strap as one spontaneous hike we had to do and didnt know until we went looking for Queens Bath and we had barely any sunlight left and had to beat it going down, shooting quick, right back up! I carried this bag EVERYWHERE while there and it fit perfectly under the seat on the airplane too. I dont have a mass amount of lenses so I could also fit a few other things in the pockets. It is perfect to look like a normal backpack and not get stolen, although it was ATTACHED to me and my guy either way. I also took my laptop since homework online, and it was perfect for that too. Sturdy. Zippers going both ways made it easier at times when quickly searching a few times to pull something small out if under the seat or however. Great quality of fabric, straps so easy to adjust and not too easy that they slide when I dont want them to resize. I also didnt take my tripod so I just tied my water bottle onto the side strap area where the tripod would go. MyGyvering works! I would absolutely buy this again once mine forever later wore out or as a gift for someone else. Perfect!

Showed up and looks like the description. This thing is meant to hit the trail with a heavy duty belt and padded straps. Nice felt or flannel really material in the camera/lense storage area , and, in the laptop storage compartment. Love the orange color that I ordered. Would like a few more pockets for things. I was SUPRISED at how big this backpack is, wow. My fault cause I chose to get one of the larger ones to make sure my laptop would fit in also, but wow, this thing will probably fit in a 15 or 17 laptop. I have a 13 Macbook Pro, and only a couple lenses, so there is a lot of empty space right now. I will probably get a smaller backpack for quick trips, but once I get more lenses and head off to Israel next year this will hold everything I need, so, I like this product. It does have a couple straps for a tripod too. Oh, and the rain fly, nice. Would like more inside pockets. Example: a sleeve or divider in the laptop section for the cord/charger maybe, but, for the price, this is amazing so far. I look forward to fully packing this wonderful amazon packpack with all my Glass, Canon 80D, Trinkets and heading off to new adventures. With all the room could even pack in an extra pair of socks/underwear etc... , deodorant and toothbrush. Dont forget your passport. Aloha from Hawaii

Just received this bag today, on time, as promised. I selected this backpack bag for a new camera purchase and I didnt want to spend a fortune on it. This bag is designed to have the camera at the bottom, not at the top (I thought I ordered the bag with the camera positioned at the top, not the bottom, but I made the mistake.) The bag is slightly deeper at the bottom than the top and the adjustable dividers inside are tapered to align with the bag. Reversing the dividers to position the camera at the top, for easy access, works. The front flap is well padded, so I dont worry about the camera sitting above the dividers. The straps are securely attached by being sewn around the outside and across forming an x in a square. Material feels comparable in quality to my much more costly REI backpack that Ive used nearly daily since 2005. The chest and waist straps are amble size and the bag rides comfortably on the shoulders. The curved shoulder straps add to the comfort and I think the external padding on the back will make it nice on a hike. Unfortunately, the bag is not waterproof, but does come with a rainhood. The tapered dividers and lack of waterproofing are the reasons I gave it 4 stars. If it falls apart on the first trip, Ill let you know.

This is a great little camera backpack! I had never used a backpack for camera equipment before, but it was recommended we get one for a photo trip of China we had planned. Of course, the camera shop would be glad to sell us one for $275, but we bought this Amazon Basics backpack instead. We are able to pack two full size DSLR cameras with two telephoto lenses, a laptop, and all the accessories we could imagine into this pack, and I could just grab it and go when we headed out for the day. It is well made, and durable, and took all the abuse of an active, extended photo adventure in stride. It easily performed as well as the expensive packs many of our companions carried. I was so thrilled with how this pack performed that I couldnt wait to leave this review! I highly recommend this pack, and if I ever need another one, I wont hesitate to buy it again. Dont let the low price fool you, this is a great pack!
