Im happy with this camera bag. The cushioned walls are soft but supportive. The removable straps and mini-walls inside the bag make it nicely customizable, and the layout of the pockets and such are useful. I havent had the bag long, but Ive used it on some long shoots and one long vacation, and there are no tears or undone seems -- so far. The construction seems solid, overall. Im not thrilled with the tripod straps on the side. The pocket below the straps -- which some people use to stick a tripod leg into when carrying the tripod alongside the bag -- does not work for my large tripod, so I have to rely on the straps/clips to keep the tripod in place. In hindsight, I think a bag that carries the tripod below the bag is more secure and balanced. I also wish that some of the additional straps (like the large strap that wraps around my stomach) were removable. But overall, Im happy with the bag, especially at this price point.

This bag was the best value for the price when I bought it. Since then it has far surpassed my expectations. I have loaded 1 digital SLR, 1 70-210, 1 18-55 and 1 28-90 lenses, 1 430 EZ Flash (about the same size as the 70-210 lens), 1 battery charger, 3 Sata external USB Drives, camera cables, IR Mouse, 4 AA batteries, the laptop charger and a Remington shaver w/charger in the main storage area. The front compartment held the iPad, 3 ft extension cable, spare memory cards, all cables for my phone, manual for the EOS, spare USB cables, my wallet, and plane tickets. The laptop area held an Acer T3 (17 laptop). The whole thing was easy to go through screening with and fit in the overhead with no issues. I used the side straps to hold my rolled coat and blanket. It weighed in around 45lbs when done. The padded straps never were uncomfortable. The pack belt was nice when going through multiple concourses because it shifted the weight to my hips and off my shoulders. The only suggestions I have are as follows: 1) it needs more dividers in the main area. I used the ones from my existing camera bag to supplement. 2) The laptop storage area is not really designed for a large 17 laptop. The corners of mine barely zip around leaving those corners vulnerable to impacts. Also, the bottom needs a thick pad and corner padding. I have to be careful how I set the bag down to compensate and prevent damage to my laptop. I was worried about the zippers going around the laptop corners so tightly but so far so good. I give this an 8.5 out of 10. Yes, if there was not one that fit my laptop better I would buy this one again and I recommend it to people with smaller laptops. For my classes I pulled out the center dividers and it held a full semester of school books just fine. Lastly it is a great weekend bag for carrying clothes.

Not quite perfect, because nothing ever is, but pretty close. Slightly larger than I expected but this bag holds both my SLR and DLSR, along with a nice array of lenses for both cameras, and my laptop. I think its the accessory storage pouch on the front that makes me want for a little more, as the number of pockets, while seemingly plenty, still fall a bit short; Im an Architect, so I carry a lot of odds-and-ends with me when Im traveling. I cant bring my usual assortment with me because the storage area cant expand out very far. Also, I had a near fatal error when I picked up the bag with the laptop pouch zippers slightly open at the top; they quickly split open, to each side, due to the weight of the camera equipment and nearly dumped my laptop on the pavement. Definitely need to make sure both zippers are closed together on one side or the other to avoid a potentially expensive accident. My final concern is whether this bag will fit under the seat in front of me on the airplane; itll fit in the overhead bin just fine, but I like to keep my camera with me, rather than risking it to others when theres no room in the bin over my seat. It would also be nice if there was some kind of containment system for all of the extra shoulder, waist, and chest straps when not needed but this is a small issue easily fixed with a few Velcro cable management bands. I am especially happy about the orange interior, though, as it makes identifying the contents quickly and easily, without a lot of digging around. This is a great buy; it holds a LOT of equipment and makes managing storage easy with adjustable dividers in the camera compartment. Just be careful how much you load into it; the bag can become quiet heavy in a hurry. Ive already recommended this bag to a buddy looking for a bag a little larger than what he already has. This is a very good solution!

For the price, its great. The velcro dividers let you configure the interior to your needs. In my case, I can fit a camera with medium telephoto in the middle section, a long telephoto on one side, a compact tripod on the other, a wide angle zoom above the camera, and extra batteries and lens cleaner in the small remaining spots above. I could probably squeeze in a second body with short lens attached, but then the weight starts getting too high. This is in the main compartment, which seems too deep for a laptop. Seems pretty well-padded, though I did not try testing this by intentionally dropping it to see if my lenses would survive! The top flap has another storage area, which is probably where the laptop is supposed to go. It includes a zipped section, if you wanted to keep your wallet, phone, keys, or what ever in an easily accessed, but hard to accidentally fall out, section. Theres enough room in this section that, given the items mentioned above, I can still slip in a 1/2 liter bottle of water or two and some snacks, if I want to. But once you do that, theres no room for sweaters or jackets. If the weathers going to change, youre out of space to account for that. In fact, beyond maybe a small, packable windbreaker, your photo stuff (if youre really serious) is going to pretty much fill the bag, so not a lot of room for other backpacking essentials). Works fine as a daypack, assuming predictable weather and the ability to bail out if the weather turns. Given other reviews, I try not to overload the pack (weight-wise), and am careful with the top strap. Although it appears double-stitched, I would not trust it, alone, to lift a fully-loaded backpack. Also, when fully-loaded, I did hear a little ripping when lifting with one of the shoulder straps. So I would say to watch the weight (no more than 5-8 pounds, which, for me, means the compact, crop-sensor dslr body, a medium telephoto, a long telephoto, a compact tripod, a bottle of water, and assorted personal items). Carrying two bodies with sufficient lenses gets trickier, especially if I toss in the tripod, which takes almost 1/3 of the storage space. I do not use either the waist belt or the sternum strap. Either would only be a factor when walking in spacious but uneven terrain, with a heavy load (in which case, the straps help distribute weight off your shoulders and on to your hips and torso). Since I dont trust the top handle or shoulder straps for lifting and pulling the backpack on with a heavy load, thats going to happen very rarely. But, given the low price, I dont expect this to be able to shoulder as much as packs costing 2 or 3 times more. With a modest load, it performs well. The shoulder straps are very wide, and do a good job of spreading the weight all by themselves. Addendum -- after having used this for over a year, now, I still like it. Ive been careful not to overload it, and all straps and handles are still in good shape. One thing I did notice is, because of the large storage area, it does shift my center of gravity back quite a bit. If Im walking down a steep but somewhat slick incline, the pack weight placed my center of gravity so far back that my boots dont hold traction, and my feet go out from under me, landing me on my butt. Repeatedly.

I use this for a 15 in laptop, a canon xti-3 with 3 lens as well as my 3D LX and games as well as some drawing stuff. I was able to take this on America Airlines as a carry on and slide it under my chair. I have also used it to carry my tripod and water bottle on the side where the clips are. I have taken on short hikes and I love it. Its very comfortable. The only thing I would say is make sure to put the zippers closed down on the bottom as during one of my flight changes I had to run from one side of PHX airport to the opposite side and luckly for me someone let me know that my backpack had opened up. It was the zipper/pocket that held the laptop and thankfully my laptop did not fall out but I realized I had closed the zippers (there are two) up at the top. It also has a waterproof cover which is great for the rain if your hiking because it covers up the zippers where water could get through. The padding for the camera gear is removeable and re-arrangealbe as well nicely padded I have no worries for putting all my gear in there and keeping it safe. I try to becareful but I am also a off roading buff and needed something durable to handle my not so gentle side. This backpak has fit all my needs and it was a great cost compared the the larger non laptop camera bag I bought from Tamarac which I loved!!!!

I have been using a smaller camera bag, but it was getting to hard to fit everything in it. Also, I wanted something that looked a little more discreet and didnt scream out Come steal my camera so loud. So, after checking out the many bags here, I chose this new one. It didnt have any reviews yet, so I took a chance, but it has worked out well. Here is why: - Great storage options, including movable velcro compartments that you can adapt to fit each lens snugly. The main compartment for the camera (I have a Canon T5i) allow you to keep a longer lens on it, including a telephoto lens (I keep a 300 on the camera body). There is even a velcro strap to go over the camera part for extra protection. I currently have 3 more lens and an external flash stored with it, and there is still room for a few other items in the main compartment if I need it. - Plenty of room for your other gear, such as memory cards, spare batteries, etc... I keep my memory cards, lens cleaner, and spare batteries in one of the zippered compartments for easy access without taking a chance on it rattling around or falling out. - Discreet...it looks like a normal backpack, so it doesnt scream out (Come steal my expensive camera) if you happen to set it down for a minute. - It has a place on the outside that you could tie on a tripod, although I have not tried it yet. Overall, I have been very happy with this bag, and it is a big improvement over my smaller camera bag that was just getting to full. If you need a upgrade your camera bag, this backpack type bag is a good choice.

I love this bag. It only have one camera body and one lens that I am carrying with me currently, but I wanted a bag that would leave me room for more lenses in the future, as well as something that could fit my laptop and/or iPad. This case fits the bill. Everything seems very well made. There is ample padding, and plenty of room for all of my gear. This case is so much better than I had originally thought, that I am considering using it as my new daily use laptop bag, which will encourage me to carry my camera with me more often. The bag is a little bigger than I had envisioned (certainly not Amazons fault), and because of its size, I may need to consider purchasing a slightly smaller bag for flights. I suppose that is what comes with the territory of my purchasing a bag that will fit my camera and laptop though. Overall, I am beyond thrilled with this bag. I *almost* bought something nowhere near as good from Best Buy, and Im glad I found this instead. The price is very good, and the case itself Id better than anything else I saw in this category/price range. There was a smaller version of this bag that I might consider purchasing before my next flight.

Recently, I purchased a new Canon 80D and Tamron 150-600 lens to take to Africa for a Once in a lifetime Safari trip. I spent weeks trying to find the right Camera Backpack that would not only fit the camera gear and the big Tamron lens, but would also carry all of the regular travel items that I would take with me on a trip like that.... THIS BACKPACK IS PERFECT! Not only does this backpack hold the two camera bodies, 4 lenses, tripod, and extra camera gear that I am taking to Africa; But, it also fit comfortably my laptop and iPad, several file folders, Bose headphones, sunglasses case, mouse, cords, batteries and snacks that I am going to need on the plane for the 30 hour journey. In addition to the great storage space, this backpack was only $40.00 and according to my teenage daughter, did not look big and bulky like the Manfroto Backpack I was comparing it too. The only downside that I found on this backpack was the hip straps could not be easily detached when you were not going to be using them. Otherwise, this was a perfect find for me.

Ive tried several photo backpacks with varying success, but this one is a gem! And for the price, it beats all the competition. I needed a pack for multiple long air trips to hold my camera & equipment, a couple of paperback books, a magazine or two, and maybe a candy bar. This was perfect and it fits fairly well on the floor of an airplane, under the seat. It did a great job on an African safari last month. It holds my big Sigma telephoto (150-500mm); my Canon 7D with Sigma 17-70mm attached; HoodMan loope; 3 cases for compact flash cards; 5 camera batteries; and extra lens caps & filters. It has a roomy section for a laptop, which I use for magazines and/or a light jacket. Theres also a front pocket for odds and ends. With 19 pounds of gear I also wanted a waste belt for additional support when walking, and that worked well also. (Im 6 2, and the straps are a tad short for me, but that was workable). Wow. For air travel, this thing really fits the bill. I was amazed at its quality for this price. Wow again.

I use this as a general purpose backpack, not for carrying cameras. It is quite sturdy and has plenty of easily accessible space in the main compartment. The laptop goes separately in its own pocket. The smaller front compartment has less space, but has plenty of pockets for keeping things neatly organized. The side pockets could have been larger. I use the tripod fasteners to carry an umbrella. Overall a very good buy for about $15.
