> 3 dayThis bag is very impressive. I dont think Ive ever purchased a bag that was this good, at this price point. It has features that usually are found in bags priced in the $99-$199 range. The interior padding is very thick and firm, the straps and stitching is incredibly strong, and the padding on the back and straps is extremely comfortable. It even has a waist strap which I havent been able to find on similarly priced bags from other manufacturers. The carry handle has a nice strong molded rubber grip on it, and the included rain fly is more than adequate for protecting anything you have inside. This bag looks very small, especially compared to the average 3-day pack, but it seems bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. I have all my gear that I would want to take on a nice trip or excursion, plus food and clothes for three days, and a 15 ultrabook, and it fit everything perfectly without even having to squeeze it in and compress it down. The straps on the side can hold a tripod, a sleeping pad, a jacket, or anything else you want, and cinch down tightly enough that whatever you put there wont go anywhere unless you want it to. This pack is also very unassuming in appearance, and doesnt shout I have valuable stuff please steal me. It also doesnt have the overly tactical appearance that some other bags from Oakley or Maxpedition seem to have these days. It really does just look like an average, run-of-the-mill book bag, and when set on the ground at an airport or train terminal seems to shrink a bit. The construction is very rigid and firm, due to the foam inside, and it holds its shape amazingly well. Theres no need to prop it up on something, it wont fall over and doesnt buckle or deform from the weight of what you have inside it. Overall, Im extremely impressed with what showed up on my doorstep; I intend to test the heck out of it over the next several months, and should any of the straps, buckles, or stitching fall apart (which at this point really does seem highly unlikely) I will update this review to reflect the issue. Amazon, great job guys.

> 3 dayLet me say off the bat, I love this backpack. I bought it for a cross-country vacation that was going to involve flying, and I bought it looking for something that would cut down on my number of bags. This pack safely carried my Canon T5i with 18-55mm and 55-150mm lenses, my 15 MacBook Pro, and related accessories across 4 flights, 2 countries, and over 2,000 miles. I will mention that if youre looking for something that will carry every piece of photography gear you own, or have you have multiple bodies or a particularly long lens (Id say 750mm is probably the longest Id put in here), then you might want to keep looking. But if you want something that will travel well and keep your gear safe, look no further. A couple general design comments (none of which impact the function of the bag, and I put here solely for your awareness and on the chance a product designer looks at these): - Despite the camera compartment being customizable, theres no good way to put it at the top of the bag. I understand the logic here (pad it as much as possible), but it would be a lot more convenient to not have to open the whole thing to pull the camera out for a quick shot, especially when flying through a thunderstorm... - The loops for a tripod or what have you on the side are great, but making one side a standard water bottle pocket would be great. - The waist straps are nice while hiking, but having a better way to stow them while moving around an airport or something when the pack is coming off and on a lot would be nice. Bottom line, though, none of that makes me regret my purchase, though, and I look forward to this backpack carry me through many future adventures.

> 3 dayI bought this bag 4 years ago with some hesitation. I thought because of the price it couldnt possibly be as good as other name-brand bags Ive owned. Well since then Ive taken this bag on dozens of trips, both domestic and international, and Id buy it again in a heartbeat. Ive been on long hikes (well, long for me, 5-10 miles) with it fully loaded and its just as comfortable and functional as packs that cost 4 times as much. The only problem Ive had is the velcro on the side pockets is starting to come loose, but it hasnt failed yet. The rest of the bag is extremely durable and well made. I love the orange interior (makes it so much easer to find black camera bits) and the pockets and dividers are adequate for my kit, which is usually 1 body, 4 lenses, 2 speedlights, etc. The tripod straps on the side are sturdy enough that I never worry about strapping my large tripod to it. Finally, I like that the bag is black and nondescript. Nothing says, please rob me! Im carrying thousands of dollars worth of camera gear, like a brightly colored LowePro bag. I highly recommend this bag for both pros and hobbyists.

> 3 dayThis is a great product, fits well with my Sony camera and 3 different lenses. Its easy to use and seems adequate for protection. However, I with it give a little extra room for other accessories. The room is a little tight but I totally understand why. I love this bag.

> 3 daySo as far as backpacks go specifically designed especially for tattoo kits, there are two options: spend over a hundred bucks on the only decent one available, or go with its knock off brother... Either way, they are just laptop backpacks with a couple plastic cases in it. And since there is really only one option, everyone who has this backpack knows exactly what is in it. So I decided to pursue other options, including makeup/cosmetic kits, travelling trunks, and various rolling bags, all of which neither satisfied my need for space, dividers, and easy portability......Until NOW! This backpack kicks the teeth in of anything else Ive seen! The fully customizable main compartment allows me to keep my tools, bottles, power supplies, and equipment neatly organized and protected. The front pouch is perfect for my machines, lights, and small stuff I need to keep easy access to, and the laptop pouch holds stencil paper, my kindle, a sketchbook and a laptop no problem. To top it off this bag has the most comfortable straps and back padding Ive ever experienced. A couple more pluses: The side pouches hold wallets and cellphones perfectly, the carry handle is durable and comfortable, and the discreet Amazon logo tells everyone Im just another run of the mill backpack until you open the Harley Davidson orange interior containing my tattoo equipment and the crowd....goes.....CRAZY.

> 3 dayIve owned a ton of camera bags, and this one is pretty dang great. 1. The bag itself is sturdy, well padded, nothing cheap about it. I love the zippers, stitching, straps and handles. Seems exceptionally well made. 2. The first outer pocket has plenty of storage for many items, I keep my extra battery, memory cards, business cards, cables, pens, etc in this area. The zippered section is quite secure and theft resistant. 3. The customizable padded interior section is quite roomy, I keep my Canon 5d Mark II with a 75 - 300mm lens in it with plenty of room, plus three additional lenses, and 2 Speedlights, as well as my wireless trigger/receiver system and my battery charger in this area easily. 4. There is a back area that seems substantially padded and large enough to carry a 17 laptop, though I have not used it as that is just too much weight for me on a regular basis. In this area is a rain cover for the bag that is handy and nice to have. 5. There is a side pocket and side straps for a tripod or other gear i havent had to use yet. This backpack carries a lot of gear for its size. Its not huge. I am about 54 and it fits comfortably on my back. My husband it 62 and this feels small on him, but most everything does at his size. Its a great deal at its price. Id buy it again.

> 3 dayI rarely post product reviews....but I promised myself that if this pack held up on my trip then I would have to post about it. So here I am. Just purchased and used this pack for a one-month trip to Australia/NZ in Feb. I was definitely skeptical of the durability because the price was so great....but now that Im back from my trip I can confidently state that this is an incredible value and I can easily give this a 5-star rating!! SPACE: If you are like me, you want to know first and foremost what can it fit. Well, I packed this thing to the rim with all of my electronics including a Mavic Drone, 15 Mac Laptop, iPad Pro 12.9 in a case with a Apple Pencil, Nikon 360 Cam, Go Pro Hero 5, 2 iPhones, Drone Controller, 2 Drone Batteries, 2 Drone Chargers, 2 extra Go Pro Batteries & Charger, 2 extra 360 Cam Batteries and Charger, 4 Selfie Sticks, 1 Andoer Pistol Grip Cam Mount, several Go Pro accessories including chest mount, helmet mounts, dash mount, charging cables for ALL of the items listed above including my laptop adaptor, a 3 x 7 x 12 foam/zipper case to protect some of the small gear, some extra memory cards and finally a very solid, 6lb (24) Velbon W-Lift Tripod strapped to the outside. TOTAL WEIGHT: I weighed this once before I left and I believe I was just under 30lbs. PROTECTION: With a drone packed in here, I was definitely concerned about the pack holding up. Well, I can tell you the padded walls did their job. They are extremely sturdy and because they are velcro I was able to customize them to fit perfectly around the drone and other gear. Note: The pack was definitely squished with a lot of other gear. But I took care not to place it under 50lb+ suitcases. Again, Im not a product tester and I wasnt looking to TEST the capability. DURABILITY: Not one single rip, tear or even the sound of a tear occurred. And again, I was skeptical so I was definitely expecting something to give out. I did not baby this thing...as I was in rain (sometimes heavy), muddy jungle trails, sandy beaches, direct sun, you name it. It did get some mud on it...but wiped away once it dried and youd never even know it had touched mud. I was worried about the high temps (85-95F + high humidy) especially in the direct sun, but...every time I opened this bag...my gear felt cool. So, an unexpected surprise. Note: I did NOT use the rain cover for this thing and water never leaked in.....however I would definitely utilize it if you know rain is coming. The rain surprised me a few times....and I stressed out when the heavy rains hit us....but I was pleasantly surprised that everything inside stayed dry when I got back to my car. Note: I did not have this in heavy rain for more than about 10-15 minutes at a time. Another side note: I carried this many different ways, I used the handle up top, I used one strap over my shoulder, and other times I used the full two straps and the buckle around my torso. So, all of the main components were definitely put to the test. Again, Im still rather impressed that nothing ripped. USAGE: I used this first and foremost as a carry-on. 6 total flights. I transported it to every single location, every single day and yes, I did small hikes with it as well. All told I was on this adventure for the entire month of Feb...and went to over 20+ different locations including remote, sandy Islands in GBR, picturesque trails and beaches in AU/NZ, river bungee jumping, mountain luging, light tropical jungle hikes (no major ascents), full day beach trips, farm stays, big city hikes....this thing never left my side. COMFORT: I carried around all day and the only time it got uncomfortable was when I had it draped over one shoulder for long periods. The full weight of the pack on one shoulder I think was a bit too much. So, I simply put on both straps and it instantly fixed the comfort issue. Keep in mind, while I was constantly moving every single day, this was not used as a rough hiking pack for long, arduous, high-ascending hikes. It was used for everyday transportation....as we moved from location to location. I carried water in the outside pockets a few times....and of course it did meet with rocks, mud, sand, etc......but I did NOT abuse it or throw it around for obvious reasons. FINAL THOUGHTS: OK, for those wondering why I would pack so much expensive gear in such a cheap case...well, I was originally trying to purchase a more expensive Manfrotto pack from a guy on craigslist...but when too much time went by between communications, I purchased this as my backup in case the deal fell through. Once I received it and packed it up....I ended up deciding to just roll with it. I was already blowing so much money on other pieces of the trip.....so, it felt nice to finally save a little money for a change. And for the money...I just dont see how you can beat it. It definitely exceeded my expectations. This was easily the best valued purchase I made. Hopefully you have a similar experience.

22-11-2024I had this backpack for a bit over nine months and today the zipper broke. Granted I do real estate photography 5+ days a week nearly every week - so the zipper gets opened and closed a LOT. This bag isnt too bad and should hold up for a few years or more with occasional use. Also, this bag is not at all rainproof. Unlike my old (and much more expensive) Lowepro bag, there is no water-resistant coating on the fabric whatsoever. Dont count on it keeping your gear dry while walking in the rain. Anyways, its not bad for the price and for occasional use. No other bag of this size and with these features even comes close to the low price of this one. Also, I had a chat with customer service and they cheerfully refunded my money after reporting my experience with the broken zipper.

Greater than one weekThis bag is great, the biggest part of the bag let’s you customize how you want to arrange space within the bag. The front and laptop portions are smaller because of this(obviously), but we’re able to get the job done and carry my 17in laptop as well as a couple notebooks, some pencils, a pencil sharpener, a computer mouse, and the laptop charger with a little space leftover. When it comes to weight distribution this bag handles it very well, just makes sure you fasten the straps as comfortable as you can. Don’t carry the bag too long though, because like most bags after awhile you start feeling the weight on your shoulders. Even though the padding on the bags helps, I wouldn’t wear it more than an hour at a time. Lastly the main issue I have with this backpack are the side straps; they can hold your tripod well. However they’re not strong enough to keep your tripod from sliding around in place, this causes and issue where you have to put your tripod into the straps a certain way if you want it to be completely secure.

Greater than one weekAs a photographer for my universitys newspaper, I carry this backpack with my camera gear at least two days a week with school supplies and sometimes my laptop. The main divided camera area is easily reconfigurable, with the option to move or take out as many of the dividers as youd like. I have even been able to fit a 60 telescoping tripod inside the main compartment by re configuring it. I like that the camera is designed to sit at the very bottom because then it is more stable and protected. You can flip the dividers so the SLR can fit at the top, but it doesnt work as well because the compartment is thinner at the top so it is harder to zip up and it isnt as protected as well. The front pouch has several useful pockets and a zippered mesh pouch for accessories, as well as a larger pocket for folders and notebooks. The laptop pouch is easily big enough to fit a 17 laptop, my 15 laptop fits with enough room to leave flash drives plugged in and still zip up. The velcro pouches on the exterior sides of the backpack definitely DO NOT work as cupholders, but work nicely for storing a computer mouse or spare camera batteries. The quality of this backpack is really impressive, I have depended on it for over 6 months now using it multiple times a week, and there are no signs of wear or any problems this far. The zippers always run really smooth, and are good quality. One slight annoyance is that you cant really access the main divided compartment without setting the backpack down because you have to open the entire front of the backpack, so plan ahead and pull your camera out when you can take your time. The exterior tripod straps work nicely and secure just about any size tripod just fine. The ergonomics are very good, I can wear this backpack for long periods of time just fine like most other high quality backpacks. There is a surprising amount of support in this backpack, It stands up by itself and feels very sturdy when handling. I didnt think I would use the waist strap, but when you are carrying 20+ pounds of camera equipment, it can be really nice to relieve some of that pressure from your shoulders. Overall, I highly recommend this backpack to anyone needing to carry more than one or two lenses and a laptop or school supplies. The quality really impressed me and I expect this backpack to last me several more years.
