Upgrading from Ryzen 2600 and its so good. Its a great budget CPU. I paired it with Asus B550 Tomahawk and got Noctua NH-U12S redux cooler. Works like a charm. I did upgrade the BIOS on the MB just to be save even though it said you dont have to.

Im a hesitant person when it comes to big purchases, so when I finally worked up the gusto to start upgrading my pc, I found this to be the best bang for your buck. Mind you Im upgrading from an i5 6500 and the last amd cpu i owned was a 1.2ghz athalon xp.... so this is a really good upgrade and step back into amd imo. First time I ever had a cpu place top 5 on cinebench. Def recommend this cpu.

Similar single core performance as the higher Ryzen 5900x, which is important for many games and general productivity software. Worth the higher price from 3600, 6 cores is more than enough. Havent had any game that maxes it out yet. PBO brings it to 4.8Ghz all-core with air cooling

Recently upgraded from an old motherboard (Maximus Gene VIII to an Asus Tuf B550). And changed from an i5-7600k to this AMD CPU. It was such a major upgrade that I was not expecting. I watercooled my i5 and it was still reaching pretty hot temperatures under stress, as well as using more wattage. The AMD CPU is just such a major upgrade. The single thread performance is awesome and 6 cores leaves you for a lot of multitasking. My i5-7600k really hated bluestacks, the ryzen can handle it no problem. Its a major upgrade compared to what I had. It also runs cooler and seems to use less power. So it is a lot more effective. An awesome CPU for the price and it is likely to start coming down in price. Still, this will likely be the go to cpu for a few years now.

Easily boosted all of the parameters on my computer and made gaming more fun, low times, shorter, an allowed for better overall performance

by far the best gaming CPU for the price currently available. handles everything you throw at like a champ. i have a 5800x3D in another build of mine but i actually prefer the 5600 because of how cool it stays relative to its performance. if youre getting a 4090 (which why would you) i wouldnt recommend this CPU only because it will likely bottleneck the 4090s performance. but if youre a normal person using any other GPU, this is the best choice.

I had an 2600x, and upgraded, I like the face you can use the same motherboard for a few years.
