Greater than one weekIf you are on the fence about this processor I can give you some real world examples of where it helps. Blender if you animate using blender this processor can pump out a standard HD animation in the time it take to play it. Premier pro, this processor is more than capable of rendering videos effortlessly while you do something else. Gaming, I have not seen a single CPU bottleneck that this processor caused. its a great chip if you are looking for that power to do more than just game on your pc and when it come to recording game play or streaming its absolutely amazing.

> 3 dayUpdate: This CPU has heating issues, I upgraded my graphics card to an RTX 30 series which before was a GTX 980 TI didnt had that many issues except heating for no reason. I dont know why and at the end I just had to buy a 5600X which stays at 45C in idle while this CPU would give me 60c in idle and when I game it goes up to 86c and it turns off. I had this heating issue for a long time and was giving me stability issues so I upgrade to a 5600x which I just had to update the BIOS and boom no heating issues anymore. The stability is much better with my RTX 3060 in gaming. I just game so a 5600X is all that I need. This 2700X is going on sale on ebay if someone is using a water cooler in there system because a cheap fan is not enough for this CPU.

> 3 dayI set to auto overclock and it runs quite hot for me (45-55c) at 4.0ghz . I set it to base speed and its around 42-45c. I would recommend getting a good cooler if you plan to use this all day/overclocking.

> 3 dayNeeded to upgrade, gave my i7 4770k pc to my kids and used this for a living room htpc. Great for games movies and basic computings. At 150 dollars I am very very happy. AMD is about to release 3rd gen so prices might drop slightly in 5 months but at thos price why wait.

> 3 dayWith it’s massive price cuts and it’s stellar performance, this beast still holds up today. For gaming, this chip has no problem taking on whatever you throw at it, and for productivity, it’s 8 cores and 16 threads put it ahead in a lot of ways.
