Owned this for over a year now, around 2 years since its release; still amazing performance in any game or task I put it through, heres a few average benchmarks with it;

The box was damaged when it arrived. Thankfully the factory seal was intact. However there is visible tampering with the fan and chip - thermal paste fingerprints everywhere, dust inside the fans like it had been opened and left out... or even used. The pre-applied thermal paste on the fan was slightly messy but intact. Very disappointed in the quality of the packing and handling for this $500AUD CPU. I expected better from Amazon.

This is my first desktop upgrade in eight years. I wanted to build a system that is thoroughly modern, has system bandwidth for days, and a processor that can bang out work with the regularity of Dwarven smiths. I got it. The 3700X is, as the heart of such a computer, a gem. Not only does it support PCIe 4 on an X570 chipset and much faster RAM (not overclocked, btw,) than its Intel competitors, it has the guts to push some of the best graphics cards on the market to high frame rates at 1440p and even 4K without overclocking.

Su questo processore cè poco da dire in termini di potenza: una bestia assoluta. Il migliore per il gaming (inutile spendere per prendere di più perchè il processore viene utilizzato solo marginalmente) e ottimo per qualsiasi utilizzo professionale. Ci sono però due parametri da sottolineare, il primo marginale riguarda temperatura e rumore: se volessimo montare questo processore per mantenerlo efficiente e non far scoppiare la ventola dovremmo usare un dissipatore adeguato (preferibile a liquido). Il secondo invece riguarda la compatibilità con la ram: il sito del produttore dichiara come valori per la system memory il supporto a 2 linee di memoria (NON 4) e a potenze fino a 3200MHz. Su molti siti si trovano configurazioni con 4 banchi e potenze superiori perciò ho provato a farla anche io ma la ram (4 banchi a 3600 MHz) non veniva riconosciuta. Perciò ATTENZIONE perchè questo dettaglio non è chiarito da nessuna parte!

It is worthy evolution of 1700x, rendering videos and 3D stuff so much faster than my 1700x, and gaming is much more reliable with more fps. Paired with a RX 5700 XT this machine is a beast for a budget production PC
