I like the 5 color temperature choices. These work really well with my dimmer switches.

I purchased 6 in May 2022. I liked them so well I purchased 6 more. In the first purchase one of the control boxes failed. The light blinked none stop. Does anyone know how submit a warranty claim. I could not find a way to contact the seller.

The two tabs are sprung much too tight making installation very difficult to install and damaging the drywall while extracting. All is good except the highly torqued tab grips. Used for bathroom lighting.

ORIGINAL 1-Star Review: After 6 months, lights began to fail. 1 year later and about 50% of the lights have failed. I have over 250 of these same style lights in my home and shop from another manufacturer and Ive only had 1 of those fail. UPDATED 5-Star Review: The seller proactively contacted me after my initial review and made the order right. They shipped me replacement lights and refunded my original order for my troubles. These lights were out of warranty and they did not have to do this. This is going above an beyond. You cant ask for better service or response than that. These lights may have failed due to bad components that the seller couldnt control or foresee problems with. Ill deal with the unexpected/inconvenience every time when the seller is willing to take responsibility as well. Thank you.

I like the feature of the 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K selected switch, and also the plug-in wire connectors provided Thats the + for the value of the lights for me as an electrician doing the installation job.

Like a lot of homes our living room had no overhead lighting and use of floor or table lamps just didn’t cut it. After a fair amount of research decided to purchase these lights. Pros. inexpensive, well made metal body and clips not plastic like some, ability to change color, straight forward install, look nice, low energy consumption, lights themselves are thin, complete unit (no need to buy can, trim and bulb separately), LEDs don’t get hot can contact insulation. Cons. Template provided is worthless, as others mentioned it makes too big a hole. I made a 6” hole which gave me a nice clean fit. If a light goes out you can’t just replace a bulb. Will these last? only time will tell. As for ease of installation, that will depend on your knowledge and expertise. My install involved pulling power from an existing line, dropping a new switch wire and box in the wall for a dimmer and then putting the lights in. Fortunately I had attic access and at 68 can still manage to crawl around up there (just barely). These weren’t any easier or harder to install than other retrofit cans. I did bench test all lights and boxes to make sure each functioned properly, didn’t want to have the hassle of one not working after installation. I also went online and used a spacing calculator for recessed lighting, put in length and width of the room it shows how many lights and were to put them for proper coverage. I’m not an electrician but have done electrical work since my teens. I like these and would probably buy again if needed. Just my thoughts. Best of luck with your install. ALOHA

Used these to replace some old 5 cans. I took the template to make a cardboard cutout from the box the lights came in. The 6.25 hole is a perfect diameter. Wiring is easy with the included junction box and connectors. Light selector is super simple and you can decide if you want yellow or super white lighting. I settled on 4K which is a good balance and they are super bright! Much better than the old 5 cans they replaced. Looks like a whole new room and colors look much better. To top it off these are a great value compared to what was available in my local big box store.

This style of LED lights with the seperate power supply are the NEW! I installed all 6, and a dimmer is a must have. Even with the first 3 lights installed with no dimmer, our room was brighter then the 2 old 60watt fixtures.

EASY INSTALLATION

What is the hole cutout size? Can these be used in narrow ceiling areas?

We recommend that you cut a 6.2’’-6.5’’ hole in the ceiling (Advised the cutout size: 6.25"). The light only requires as small as 2 inches ceiling spaces and fits various ceilings, no cans required. Great for new construction or remodel applications.

What’s the difference between these colors?

2700K-Soft White/3000K-Warm White/3500K-Neutral White/4000K-Cool White/5000K-Daylight. The color switch is on the junction box. You can choose one of the five color temperaments to decorate your house or company according to your preference.

Can the light be placed in wet or damp areas such as bathrooms?

The light is damp-rated, which means it will be suitable for damp locations like bathrooms. But that does not mean waterproof. So it is best to install it above the shower to avoid direct contact with water.
