AmScope PA4X 4X Plan Achromatic Microscope Objective

The product is exactly how I expected. Its fine.

They flattened the field of view.

Storage container arrived cracked. Shipping package was a padded envelope and inadequate to protect contents.

The Plans expand image sharpness from just the center, to the entire field of view. If youre strictly visual you probably dont need to buy these (though I would). If you image, these are a nice upgrade.

This is OK. Not parfocal with other older objectives.

I really hate this rating system, if you do what you need to make a sale, and not piss off your customer you get praised!

This is a great little objective. RMS mount but not infinity focused of course (those are expensive). Which means I could mount onto my dSLR and take 4x magnification macro shots.

I get a clear 228lp/mm or 2.19 line width (not line pair width) verified resolution [see image - chromium on glass test target, group 7 line 2 is 228 lp/mm) from this little guy using white light table (no condenser) - which is quite good given that the Rayleigh criterion for blue light (450nm) suggests resolution of 2.74 for NA of 0.1 as this objective is. Granted, Rayleigh criterion is not the strictest but for $24 this is pretty amazing.
