> 24 hourSo, first, Im an idiot. I decided to use the 1/2 cutter on a steel cabinet (fairly beefy). But I put the receiver chuck in backwards so the poor ram was pulling the cutter into a solid piece of steel instead of the hollow receiver. So it ended up as a stress test and I found that the hydraulic piston didnt come apart as I proceeded to instead tear a bolt apart (see picture). So my set now doesnt have a 1/2 hole option anymore, but I know the hydraulics work really well. BTW, I found it interesting that the bolt wasnt metal all the way through, but just metal skinned. If you arent an idiot like me, Im sure it would work fine, and in fact ended up being a safety feature, thinking about it. BTW, the instructions suck (a diagram or two would help).

> 24 hourI am an amateur user of this tool, it was cost effective and worked great on a stainless steel sink. The knockout released with out any issues. If I had to find a flaw it would be the studs do not have a secure place in the case. They just float around. Again, it is a fantastic tools for the cost and worked as expected. I look forward to using this tool again.

> 24 hourThere were two 8 ton punch kits the difference was the layout in the case and the color. I picked the case layout I wanted and it came in the same color with the other case layout.

> 24 hourIm an electrician and thought this would be a nice upgrade from a hand ratchet knock out cutter, I was wrong. First hole I used it for I was very impressed and excited to have a quality tool that was affordable. Second hole I cut the unit started leaking oil from where the Piston under the handle moves in and out. After losing all of the hydraulic fluid I attempted to use the O-ring kit that comes with it to replace the O-ring myself. I replaced the ring and before filing it with hydraulic fluid I operated the handle and with just the little bit of oil that was still in the bladder, it started to leak immediately. Nothing more than an expensive paper weight now. Dont waste your money. Buy a quality brand name for a little more cost so that hopefully you dont have the same issues that I did. Also, though minor, the case was cracked on the inside.

> 24 hourWell made plastic carrying case that keeps parts where they belong during storage/transport. Hydraulic pump pressure release valve it well positioned and provides tight shutoff, easy release, using minimal effort… quality valve seat. Only complaint is the hydraulic ram/ hose connection fitting is solid, fixed…meaning the ram doesn’t swivel at the hose connection. This adds challenge when repacking and closing the case after use. However, the ram/hose connector fitting can be adjusted, if necessary, for optimal fit. This tool is 33% cost of professional, top-of-the-line, leading competitor. Sacrificing a swivel fitting to save $400 is a no-brainer. Great value and quality product!
