Angelus 4-Coat Leather Clear Coat Finisher Matte 4oz- Scratch Resistant

I bought this too make my leather items have a glossy finish. I used it on a genuine black crocodile belt and after letting it dry overnight I noticed that there was some residue in some parts of the crocodile grain. But that may have been due to me not doing a better job of making sure it was spread evenly. It’s clear color in the bottle but like I said it doesn’t really dry clear like you’d think.

Im using the matte and satin to protect my cork purses and it goes on like a dream as well as dries very quickly. So glad I found this stuff. Just wish it also worked reasonably better on fabric (did not turn out well).

Custom finish GOD!

Everything was going well with the couch painting project until this step. Within days it started to peel off. Now its a disaster of molting couches. Im trying to figure out how to get it all off and what to do instead!

Well I was completeing a leather steering wheel restoration. Hours of labor smoothing out the wheel. applied a few coats of Angelus black leather dye. So far so good. Then I applied a few coats of the Angelus 4-Coat Leather Clear Coat Finisher Matte. Loved it looked great seemed to handle light scuffing pretty well. Several days later I wiped the wheel with 80% isopropyl alcohol. What a mess complete failure of the top Angelus 4-Coat Leather Clear Coat. It began to melt when you passed over it with a cloth. Totally messed up the finish on the steering wheel. This product is not resistant to mild chemicals it might come in contact with. Just for the heck of it I died a leather shoe and tried it on the shoe. After sufficent drying time I buffed the shoe looked good. Then tried a slight rub with a semi wet 80% alcohol wipe, and the top coat of Angelus 4-Coat Leather Clear Coat Finisher Matte started to breakdown and melt. This might work great on a decorative item for display use. But not for usable wearable items that might need to be cleaned. Ive included a pic of the shoe. If youre dying or touching up your leather. Thus is a MUST! If not the dye WILL rub off.

I’d you’re looking to match the factory Nike Gloss, look no further. Get this one in particular! I recommend 2 coats and you’ll be good to go! Ignore all those matte and satin etc etc finishes as those will NOT match factory. I’m

Gives a factory shine. Seals dye well. Have to be careful when applying it can leave visible streaks when using a brush application.

I bought this to seal the painted biothane dog gear I make, since it was recommended to use. This literally peels off. It looks like someone who is peeling from a sunburn.
