anidees Aluminum Pi case for Raspberry Pi 4 Model B – Black(AI-PI4-BB)

I received my extra high Pi4 case today and was excited that I would be finally able to put my pi to work, rather tHan just tinkering with it on my test bench. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. The AL case itself was in the box, along with the instructions and “packing list”... but that was it. No lid, no hardware... nada. The picture available looked terrific and now that I can see most of the case in person, I wasn’t disappointed in the quality, but due to the missing hardware issue, I can only rate it a 4/5. I hope to reach anidees and obtain the missing lid and hardware as quickly as possible. Update: after getting the runaround by the manufacturer and getting nowhere for almost 30 days, I made the return via Amazon on the last possible day. The replacement arrived today and included everything it was supposed to.

This cause is built very well. Materials are top notch and so are the looks. Cut outs are about as precise as you can get (argon1 neo is absolutely perfect though.) One plastic side means you get ok wireless. Plenty of room for a hat or other reasonable compact add ons. My biggest issue though is the cooling miss. You have a massive and thick aluminum case that sinks zero heat. Don’t get me wrong, the top risers and large bottom slots are ok, but what a wasted opportunity over all. If you’ve got room for a heat sink or fan, use it. Otherwise I would suggest something more open or the argon 1 neo which makes use of the metal it has to deal with heat.

Beautiful and solid aluminum case. Super high quality finishing and fitting. The High model can be used with some HATs and the aluminum body helps dissipate heat even with a closed glass lid - I have some RPis running fine for a ~1 year with Navolabs PoE HATs. The newer case model for the RPi 4B has spacers and longer screws included to create a clearance between the body and the glass lid, helping with the cooling. Highly recommended if you’d like a professional, beautifully crafted and nice looking case.

It’s fine and looks good. However for the price I felt the body quality wasn’t all that great and felt no better than other similar cases for much less money. The glass top is the only thing that makes it close to being worth the price.

I final (dating myself a bit) and thought it may be fun to try programming with Python. I was right, bought a pi 4 with a SenseHat and have had several days of learning and triumph. Very cool toy!! Case fits well with a natural heat sink. All necessary hardware included. Would highly recommend for anyone using a Raspberry Pi 4 with a SenseHat.

Great customer service. I ordered the shorter version for the 4b first, but it didnt fit with my fan hat so I exchanged it for the tall model, and it was a great fit. Very well made, doesnt get warm at all with the fan hat with some thermal paste and aluminum heatsinks on the board. Spend the extra and get this if you want a good case. Also works for other boards with the pi layout.

Stavo cercando un case di buona qualità che mi permettesse di inserire il Sense Hat e che avesse la sommità trasparente per visualizzare i led. Cercando, ho trovato quindi questo bellissimo case completamente in metallo (alluminio nero) e con il top trasparente. Non solo è bello esteticamente ma è anche fatto molto bene (cosa che si nota subito appena si prende in mano). Il fatto che sia in metallo inoltre facilita meglio il raffreddamento piuttosto che un case di plastica. Il mio progetto era utilizzarlo con il Sense Hat ed ero insicuro se utilizzare la versione Alta o la normale. Contattando direttamente la ditta ho potuto verificare laltezza precisamente ed è bastata la versione standard. Ho optato per la versione nera con smoky cover e posso confermare che i led si vedono in modo chiaro e leffetto è davvero premium. Il particolare degli inserti sul fondo per appenderlo al muro è davvero ben studiato e di ottima fattura. Questo mi permetterà di appenderlo verticale una volta finito il progetto. Ma anche i piedini antiscivolo funzionano molto bene. Non ho dovuto utilizzare gli spaziatori per alzare il vetro ma volendo aumentare il passaggio daria anche quelli sembrano di metallo e ben fatti.
