> 3 dayAntenna is approx. 1.3m long, that is a height of a child and it is mounted using BNC connector so I always take care I sway the radio in a careful manner even if not fully extended. Product is worth the money. This antenna is a passive component so there is nothing that should degrade over time. Tightness of its sections are constant when extending/contracting. Even after some maybe not so careful movements no physical defects or any permanent changes have been observed like bends or any other types of deformations or changes in quality.

> 3 dayDid not perform like I expected it too, taken from a couple of reviews! I couldnt pick up as much traffic with this antenna as I am picking up now with a different antenna! It may work differently for other, just wasnt what I expected!

> 3 dayI used this antenna on my Radio Shack Pro-91 scanner. Its a big upgrade from the stock antenna.

> 3 dayThis pulls in some distance signals that are being broadcast via repeaters for the fire departments in my area. The antenna is rather tall and can be heavy as for as using with a hand held unit so you have to be careful when using. Other than that it seems to allow the pulling of more stations, but I wouldnt use it as a traveling antenna.

> 3 dayThis Antenna is vary good for the price you pay. To get the best signal, you will have to play with the sections for each band you want to listen to. Note for some smaller scaners, it may tip over the scaner if not handled properly, depending on howmany sections are expanded. Overall, it is good for the price you pay. Of course it is not the best in the world, but I gave it 5 stars because it works for my needs.

> 3 dayWorks much better than the original antenna that came with my bearcat. The extendable design makes the signal stronger when inside buildings.

> 3 dayI bought this antenna for my uniden handheld scanner. It works, it fits, but it’s not snug. It doesn’t negatively affect the operation of the scanner so I will keep it.

> 3 dayIve got a Midland 75-785 and a Uniden Pro 401 HH, both came with the standard rubber ducky antenna. This limited them to line of sight, and unusable for car to car transmission. I attached these antennas, and took a walk. I was able to communicate at 1/3 of a mile, with one radio in the house. Obstacles like trees, other houses, and a small hill were overcome. Great item, would recommend. 4 stars because the antennas dont fit as snug as the stock antenna on either radio.
