Got bad after 3 uses.

I haven’t used this yet but the mechanism seems to work well and it opens nicer than most.

I live in CA so we dont have much need for umbrellas. I always bought really cheap ones from a bargain store b/c 1) no need and 2) my kids are hard on things and I didnt wanna waste the money. Didnt want my 13 yr old to go to school with a sad broken umbrella so I bought 2 of these. Nice price and they were sturdy and the open function solid. She uses it for shade on her walk home too

This umbrella is poorly constructed. Only had a chance to use it about 2-3 times and it’s already broken. I didn’t beat it up or anything, it just stopped working for me because pieces of the metal broke and the umbrella was unable to open. Disappointed in this product.

Too small in diameter for me.

This umbrella is even better than I expected. For $8.99, I expected it to be a little flimsy, but its actually rather sturdy for a telescoping compact umbrella. The trade-off is weight, but I dont plan to take it on a backpacking trip or carry it in a purse. Other reviews mention that its hard to push all the way closed. The spring is stiff, yes, but thats because the umbrella is designed to open quickly, and the main spring has to be strong enough to compress the spring that quickly closes the canopy so you can get into your car or a bus or an uncovered entrance to a house or a store without getting wet. You can push the pole back down once youre inside. If you want an umbrella thats compact, yet strong, opens fast, and closes the canopy with the push of a button, its hard to imagine finding another one this good at a price under $10 (with free shipping).

I have been using this umbrella for a few months now, and it has held up strong and feels brand new. I picked this up for around 8.50, and it feels as good as umbrellas that cost 20 and more. The quality is great for the price, and I would purchase it again if I needed another one.
