API REPLACEMENT TEST TUBES WITH CAPS For Any Aquarium Test Kit Including API Freshwater Master Test Kit 24-Count Box

The picture is not what I got. What I got was the API testtubes which I am happy with. They are the exact same that came with all the API tests that I already have. And to make your life easier if you have a bunch of these get one of these: Karter Scientific 208V2 Plastic Test Tube Rack for 12/13mm Tubes, Holds 50, Detachable Its a perfect fit.

First, I hate that you have to buy a package this big. I wish they made smaller packages with maybe 4-5 tubes instead of 24. This was packaged very poorly. It was thrown into a huge box with some fish food I had purchased and had 1, I repeat ONE, air packet protecting the product. 3 out of 24 of the tubes were broken and there was glass all over the box. If I had received 20 or less I would have sent it back. Over all the test tubes are clean and the caps are very snug. I use these with my API master test kit. I suppose I will order again if I ever need to.

These are the exact same test tubes that come in the API Freshwater Master Test Kit. I broke two of the tubes that came with the master test kit within the first week and bought these to replace them with. Now that I know I have replacements I havent broken any more, go figure.

Great product. Arived on time and with no damage. All the tubes arived not broken. Highly recommend.

They are standard thinwall flat bottomed round 5 ml glass test tubes with plastic cap, that you find in the API test kits. If youve lost or broken a few in your test kits, or have more than one system to test, its nicer to have extras. Only fault is the box is very thin flimsy postersheet type cardboard, and in Amazon fulfillment, the other contents of the box shifted and smashed a few. I didnt deem it bad enough to go through return and replacement but do be warned, the boxful as is is pretty fragile, so if you need a full 24 you might end up a few short with one box. They will also work with the Tetra tests, anything that needs a 5 ml water sample, they will work.

I use the api master test kit often and the tubes and lids that come with the kit work perfectly. For some reason with the replacements the lids don’t seal properly and when you shake them to perform your test the liquid comes sloshing out. At least two of the test solutions can cause corrosion to metals and can cause both skin and eye damage. I don’t really see how these are safe to use. I also can not see how the test can be accurate as you are losing both tank water and test solution with every shake.

These are the same quality as the original API Water Test Kit for my aquariums so watch out as they will break in the same way as you broke your original ones which is why you will be looking at buying this to have extra ones on hand!

I use these in my college-level science lab - because they have a flat bottom, you dont need test tube racks! They are small. If you need large tubes, these wont work. We use them for water analysis, and they are great.

Master kit comes with the tubes, but I seem to break them every time.
