    Aquaticlife recommend to flush 30g of RO water. I flushed more than 40g and the out put was still 7 tds. Based on their claim of up to 98% (my tap water is 175) but I can’t get near and only at about 95-96%. It should be at around 3-5 tds. Since the high output on TDS it will burn DI filter a lot quicker.

The Twist-In Sediment Filter Cartridge for reverse osmosis/deionization systems acts as a line of defense against dirt and debris. Use it as a prefilter prior to carbon filtration. It captures and reduces unwanted particulate material such as sand, silt, and rust from water which affect the taste and appearance of your water. The AquaticLife replacement sediment filter can be used only for AquaticLife RO & RO/DI models 540370, 540371, 540372, and 540346.

Twist-In Design - Translucent Housing - Prevents Leaks

The twist-in sediment cartridge is designed to simply Twist-In" to the pivoting head on the Aquatic Life 75 and 100 GPD Models of the Twist-In RO and RO/DI units. The spun polypropylene traps sediment down to 5 microns in size. This sediment filter has a translucent polyethylene housing for easy viewing of the cartridge condition to know when it"s time to replace. Replace every 3-6 months or 2,500 gallons of total water passing through the cartridge. The 5-Micron Sediment Filter includes two pre-installed o-rings where the cartridge connects to the RO unit to prevent the chance of leaks at the connection.
