Greater than one weekI picked this up last week, and Ive had a blast playing with the Uno. Im very familiar with C, C++ and Java, so the dailect of C Arduino boards use was fairly natural to me. Ive played music on a speaker, lit up different LEDs and had fun with analog inputs.

> 3 dayI find Arduino is so popular and think it might be a good bridge between computer and functional instruments. I am wrong. With Arduino IDE, I have no problem to control the device. However, when I try to control it with other programming platform, I got stuck and dont know what serial commands should be used. I searched around for hours and did not get anything useful. Do they keep the basic commands as secret and force others to use their IDE?

17-04-2025I love Arduino boards. The design impresses me how I can power it in different ways, easily plug it in, program, then Im ready to go etc. This is the third Arduino Uno that Ive bought (Ive also got an equally impressive Arduino Due although thats at 3.3 volts) but I put this particular board in to question. It is a different colour and has helpful writing on the sockets (a good thing). I wondered if its a fake copy so I looked on arduino.cc and they have changed the design to a teal colour. No problem. It also has a plastic protector. I have also received stickers with it like with the other boards so it seemed genuine.
