20-11-2024Nice and creamy consistency. While its pretty good there are lower price options. But this will still be pretty nice paint.

> 3 dayI normally buy mars black Liquitex but instead I decided to try Arteza for twice the price. More expensive = better paint?? Heck NO! NEVER AGAIN. I’m really disappointed that I have to second coat everything with this brand. I’m now going to order what I normally do.

> 3 dayI go through a lot of Titanium White acrylic paint so I was happy to find this huge jar of Arteza’s paint. After using this paint for two days of artwork, here are my thoughts: PROS: (1) This 33.8 fl oz of paint will last quite a while compared to the smaller tubes I’m used to using in my artwork. (2) The quality is comparable to a Liquitex Basic grade titanium white, but not a professional grade quality like Golden. (3) The white paint mixed up well with a variety of other colors, both dark and light. CONS: (1) The large size jar is awkward to hold while squeezing out paint onto a palette or canvas with one hand. I think I’ll have to transfer it into other smaller, sealable containers for ease of use. (2) Getting the seal off the inside of the jar was a very messy job. It didn’t peel off easily. Instead, it came off in a few pieces as I picked at the edges of the seal trying to remove it, and my fingers ended up covered in white paint. Arteza really needs to make a seal that extends a bit over the edge so you can grab it, then pull it off in one swift move without making a mess. (3) It’s not as creamy or thick as a professional quality paint like Golden, and the Arteza paint is more fluid (watery), even though the description of the Arteza paint is “heavy body”. If you use a lot of Titanium White paint in your art work, this large jar will be very handy to have in your studio, but you don’t seem to save much money by getting a large jar compared to the smaller tubes of similar quality white paint you can pick up on sale most of the time at your local craft store.

> 3 dayI probably use blue paint more than any other color except white. This blue is a good ultramarine, mixes well with other colors and brands, and delivers good color coverage. Yes, I probably use more of it to achieve the opaque, dense color I sometimes like, than if I were using a professional grade paint. But for plein air painting, this is both affordable and can be applied in a thick layer without feeling like Im throwing away money just to get added texture. I grabbed this in a blink when I saw some supply chain issues with blue artists acrylics, and Im very glad that I did. I may order more, just for peace of mind.
