Its very effective at blocking the sun but it smells terrible.

Beautiful parasol; however, Umbrella broke at the neck immediately upon opening.

The inside pole of the umbrella is dry rotted, so when I tried to open it sawdust went everywhere. The handle also came off... I would like to return it, but I dont have a printer to print a label and it doesnt have the option for me to drop it off at UPS store. So sadly this was a waste of money

because once you open it, you will never get it closed again. definitely oiled paper, looks pretty sturdy, good size not as attractive as the photo, but in time the color will lighten

besides one cheap detail that lower the aesthetic quality, it is a success.

Bought this for my mother in law who wanted a parisol for some reason. It does trick for proving a source of shade and is water resistant. Its very stylish and relatively durable for the price paid. She loved it and making your inlaws happy is always a plus!

The parasol is really pretty though it has a strong smell of lacquer or some sort of chemical. The picture on it isnt as clear and sharp as the photo in the advertisement.

It is pretty but has a bad odor. I may need to return it.

Not the lovely pastel color. Instead, mustard in color. Had holes and cracks. First one shipped was the wrong item. Returned it without problem for replacement with correct parasol. Second one came today. Right item but not lovely like the one described. In lousy condition with holes and cracks. I am returning it for refund. I will not buy this again! Also, just FYI it DOES smell like oil (mildly rancid) but that is expected as it is made from oiled paper. I would expect, that if kept loosely open for a week the odor would resolve as it does for most oiled paper products.
