This is my second review of generic replacement FEP film, and I find them all to be about equivalent - this one also works fine and seems to release prints well. I find that having a fresh FEP is more important than the specific brand, so buying something affordable and replacing it often is good hygiene for resin 3D printing. Replacing the FEP on your 3D printers vat isnt fun, but if you accidentally stick a print to the base of the vat due to a misaligned or warped build plate, odds are good its time for a replacement. This product gives you five full-sized sheets of FEP film at a totally reasonable price; the thickness and light transmission specs are exactly in line with expectations. As with the last one of these I reviewed, I do wish theyd enclosed the FEP in a thicker cardboard envelope that was reclosable with tabs and protected the sheets better from bending; the envelope is pretty flimsy and bendable. I relocated the spare FEP sheets to a cardboard mailer with better protection after opening the package. Installation tips: - These sheets are larger than the actual vat. I recommend leaving the sheet full size during installation, then trimming it down with a sharp knife once installed and secured. - Allocate about 20-30 minutes to do the swap - its not difficult, but there are a LOT of hex head screws to undo in two different sizes. - Youll also want to carefully tighten the screws in an alternating pattern across the sides of the vat; tightening the screws tensions up the sheet, and you dont want to over-tension one side before the other and cause the new FEP to warp. - Dont forget to remove the protective film on both sides before installation.

I got these as the listing originally stated these would work with the Elegoo Saturn 2. Shame on me for not checking the dimensions I guess. Well I see that they have now removed that from the listing. The Elegoo ones are 273mm x 176 mm. So these are 13 mm shorter than the Elegoo ones for the Saturn 2, and about 4mm shorter than the bottom of the Saturn 2 vat. Will these work being shorter? Maybe, but Im not gonna test it. I dont relish the thought of a resin leak because it was too small. If I had a smaller printer I could still use them, but alas, I dont. They look like they are good quality clear FEP. For being large sheets of FEP they are a good price. Perhaps Ill be able to use them if I get a smaller printer in the future. I did contact the seller and they promised to send me a bigger size FEP when they get a restock. I will update the review when I receive the replacement which I can put in my printer. *** Update 10 Apr 2023 *** I did finally get the bigger FEP which they promised me. These are more than big enough to fit my Elegoo Saturn 2 8K at 290mm x 210mm. They are nice and clear like the first ones and Ive had no problems printing on these now that Ive had a chance to use these. Im a very satisfied customer.

Transmission is good, probably as good as the factory film that came with my Saturn. Tiny detail on the prints are about the same. When I popped them out of the envelope I noticed there are no holes for the screws. I ended up poking holes through the sandwich plates using the allen key I used to tighten the screws. The final 4 screws on the Saturns sandwich plate determine final tautness of the FEP film. Theres some extra FEP film outside the sandwich plate which can be cut off or just flared out and flattened. Once the screws are all down they shouldnt have any bearing on function.

These fep sheets work very well and have caused me no issues on my Anycubic Photon Mono X. Ive had no issues keeping my default settings and they work great!
