> 3 dayAbsolutely wonderful laptop, ASUS did a great job with the thermal performance - allowing the laptop to run at maximum clock speeds throughout excel calculations or simulations. The 8-cores and 16 thread AMD CPU keeps productivity high, while keeping fan speeds down thanks to its great TDP. I was able to upgrade my memory to 40Gb, sadly 8Gb is soldered on - for the future a second M.2 SSD is planned for backup. Because of this upgrade I was able to disable Windows Paging file for additional performance and to boost SSD longevity. Battery life is good, 5-6 hours away from a socket keeps this laptop mobile around anywhere. The 1440p 165Hz display gives a great balance between sharpness and smoothness, feeling snappy and good color accuracy! My only real complaint is the locked BIOS, not allowing me to change RAM memory frequency.

> 3 daySo some reviews I had read before buying this laptop tended to complain about the Fingerprint recognizer and fans.

> 3 dayThis laptop has a faulty wireless adapter. I have been on the phone for hours. Their chat refers you to BestBuy GeekSquad. I took it Best Buy and then contacted BestBuy online just to make sure it wasnt a mistake. BestBuy isnt going to help if you bought it from Amazon. I may end up returning this just because I cant get support. Sure, I could probably buy an external wireless card but what about the next time I need something.

> 3 dayI purchased this pc for two reasons: 1. Software development (Unity, etc) for work 2. Gaming PCVR to Quest 2. This machine is great. It’s fast, stable, and has a nice refresh rate. This machine had the best specs for the money and I’m glad I went with it. The only thing I don’t like is how loud the fan gets, but it’s to be expected with this type of machine. Most people lean toward the Razer machines, but I’ve had enough of them at work to realize that they’re just not that reliable. They look cool, but this machine is much better! Runs PCVR to Quest 2 flawlessly via Virtual Desktop and runs Unity for development with ease. Highly recommend it.

> 3 dayFantastic gaming laptop. I just wish the biometric sensor wouldnt constantly flake out on me. That seems to be incredibly common regardless of make or model though.

> 3 dayThe laptop was a gift for him. He is a student at West Point and has a lot of Covid restrictions that limit his free time. This computer serves as a positive energy release. As indicated in the caption, he loves this laptop

> 3 dayLlevo 2 semanas usandola y creo que es de las mejores laptops que he visto, la pantalla, teclado, potencia para edición de fotografia y video y jugar videojuegos ha sido excelente. El unico incoveniente es que no tiene camara y su microfono es de muy mala calidad. Totalmente la recomiendo si necesitas portabilidad y potencia, lo unico seria que compres una webcam y microfono aparte!
