Tape arrived as described. Very well packaged! I appreciate the little bonus gift in the box. Im excited about getting back in to this reel to reel vintage audio and as the machine I purchased was calibrated using ATR Master tape I will be purchasing a few more tape reels and you will be getting more business from me. I dont have the machine yet as I am waiting for delivery so Ive not tested the quality yet. I will comment on that when i can but from what i hear i am sure i wont be disappointed. I own a vintage Teac X10-R bi directional record/playback Reel to Reel tape deck which I often use for recording and achiving of hard t ofind music. The originalbrands of tape it was calibrated for, no longer exist In my search for a new brand I came across ATR magnetics and the best price was on Amazon,the delivery time was reasonable, since Im a PRIME member.My machine loves this tape. Music sounds BETTER than the original on this tape. I set my levels to average 0 dB on my recorders meters, there are often peaks as high as +3dB and there is no distortion.it winds evenly onto the reel , which the blue reel looks really nice,so does the tape care box which the reel comes in.Whether you are a professional or a high end enthusiast, his tape is worth your time and money, go buy it!

I use these exclusively now with several restored reel to reel decks in my collection in both 7.5 and 15 IPS configurations. Don’t be tempted to reuse old tapes, even if they are unopened. Unless you know how to treat them properly, they can come apart and ruin your tape heads. ATR makes great tape. Most times I get the 2500’ and 3600’ versions on pancake reels and remove old tape from the reels I have from the 80s and mount the new tape on the old metal reels, which are fine if they haven’t been warped. Reel to reel enthusiasts are fortunate that ATR is making new tape!

After a long hiatus away from my audio equipment, I decided it was time to restore my two RTR decks (GX-635D and R8) After repairing both decks, my next struggle was that all of my NOS Ampex and Quantegy tape had turned into sticky messes. I searched around and found ATR Magnetics. Their reviews were great, so I decided to give them a shot. Ive picked up several reels of their tape, both 7 and 10... MDS36 and Master Tape. All have performed wonderfully. They have reproduced the recorded audio faithfully, with the expected tape tonal highlights. No doubt about it. Ill be purchasing more reels from ATR Magnetics. Id highly recommend their products.

I would have given this item a five star rating, but the reel is slightly out of round possibly due to improper fastener hole alignment during assembly ? Tape was not evenly wound on reel. Shifting during shipping could have been the cause. Other than those two minor issues I am very satisfied with this product.

The tape arrived actually sooner than I expected, I am incredibly, incredibly happy with this! I will be ordering more!
