I used it for hanging a wreath on my security door. It slid down but I think it was because it was on a bar, not a flat surface.

Years ago, I had a house with a steel front door and used a magnetic hook to hang wreaths. It was both ugly and largely ineffective. This one, however, is great! Very strong magnet and attractive design. I am very happy with this purchase and would buy again.

I’ve never had a metal door. But now that I do, this magnet allows me to pursue my love of wreath hanging.

Item looks exactly as pictured. Its high quality, real brushed metal. Provides a very firm magnetic grip to my metal front door. Have only used it with a fairly lightweight wreath, and its been hold for week. I assume it could take a much heavier item as it take some strength to pry the magnet off once its attached.
