> 24 hourI generally prefer a neutral tuned headphone, hence my daily driven Audio Techicna R70Xs (maybe slightly warm). Keep in mind the LCD-X headphones are listed under Audeze’s “reference” class.

> 24 hourLcd x headphones were everything I expected. The only reason for the 4 star rating is their price.

> 24 hourWell built but muddy sounding, with little high-frequency detail. Very heavy and uncomfortable.

> 24 hourI have been a headphone guy for the past several years, an audio guy for over four decades and a music lover since I was a child growing up in the 1960s. The headphone craze began for me back in the later 90s while working a second shift job because my wife and newborn would be sleeping when I arrived home and I was unable to immediately go to sleep but didnt want to wake them. Over the years I have amassed a small collection of headphones, all good, but the LCD-X is INSANE!

> 24 hourI bought these headphones through Richer Sounds Amazon store. Im very happy with my purchase. The sound quality is beautiful, its rare to have such rich, organic and natural tonality with such clarity, its usually a trade off between one or the other. Vocals and instruments sound real, an acoustic guitar sounds like someone is sat in front of you playing an actual guitar, just stunning. The headphones are easy to drive and are very comfortable for me. I should imagine you would have to pay a lot more for minor improvements of the sound quality of these headphones

> 24 hourI purchased these as an open box. Running through my system with an RME DAC (add bass shelf an tame one peak) with either a tube amp or my solid state, these rival much more expensive headphones. I alternate back and forth between these and my ZMF Verites, which are more than double the price. The ZMF have better stage, more bass impact, and slightly more resolution (SLIGHTLY). Overall technical qualities are maybe 10% better on the verite.

> 24 hourI have been using Phillips X2s and Fostex T50RPMK3s for the last 5-7 years. I decided to test out a couple of upgrades. I bought 2 new pairs of headphones: Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pros, and the Audeze LCD-X.

> 24 hourThis thing is built like a tank, you could use it for self-defense its so strong. Its heavy enough to feel the weight when I turn my head but honestly, I love it. Ive gotten used to it. The weight kinda reminds me to lay back and listen. Its pretty comfortable with the leather strap and squishy earpads despite the weight. It looks like its built to last a century. Its like one of those they dont make em like they used to kinda products from the 1950s. 5/5 durability

> 24 hourIve started to notice after several hours of listening time that my right ear is now touching the right fazor (plastic grill) on the headphone and causes great discomfort. Ive looked online and this is a known issue with audezes LCD line. Its surprising that people have had issues with the exact same thing and yet dont fix their pads. Ive contacted support and was told that there was nothing they can do. I dont have giant ears and they are quite normal. When I glance at the pads the right padding seems thinner than the left pad. Also not to mention that the pelican case that comes with the headphone is missing a rubber foot so when its placed on a flat surface it wobbles.

> 24 hourBest headphones I own, absolutely hifi, bring out the best in music. Heavy, yes, but dont let naysayers turn you off completely.
