We added this model of headphone to our radio station studio. half the dj dont like them, and rather use an old pair thats falling apart.

The best starter headphones for under $40. period.

The headphones still work fine. No cable problems at all and the sound is pretty much the same. No significant wear other than a bit in the right ear pad. They dont leave my desk so it doesnt have much movement other than me using it daily but I had different pairs before that got broken with the same use and in a less time frame. Overall Im satisfied with this product and its worth the money.

Im giving these a 5-star rating because for the price, I dont think they can be beat! Ive worked in some top studios and for doing home recordings (and maybe even hi-fi studio work?), these are perfect. Didnt break the bank, minimal fatigue when wearing them, and wonderfully balanced sound without too much EQ.

Backup pair of headphones to use in place of Shure SRH840s, good backup, although lost a star because it was uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time (1+hours)

Im no audiophile, but I dont have $250 to spend on headphones Im going to use infrequently. I got these cause I know the ATH-M50xs are the best headphones around, and these are just the very little brother. Compared directly to better quality headphones and speakers that I have, these do not sound the same, but they isolate sound enough being over-ear, which helps the lack of bass. Overall decent.

Just spend the extra 30 and get Hd280 pro.
