For all those who think cables wont make any difference, I wish it was so, so I dont have to spend a lot of money on them. But, they do. Bigtime. On a audiophile system, anyways. Swapped Mediabridge Ultra with AQ Cinnamon coax, from Gustard U12 XMOS to Teac UD-501 (than Colorado XLRs) to Teac HA-501, and voila: Brand new sound, and I will elaborate: Bass is deeper, more controlled, mids are silkier, highs lost the hiss and nasal harshnes when Gloria goes for rough r, big difference.

I got the Bluesound node for streaming. I used Bluesound DAC but I was told I could use DAC of my McIntosh CD player, so I got this Coaxial digital cable and the sound was prenominal!

I feel that the Audioquest analog interconnects are a good cable, but there are better out there. However, the digital cables, such as this coaxial digital interconnect, work well and havent failed me yet. I use this one between the digital output of the Sweet Vinyl SugarCube and PS Audio DirectStream DAC, and it works perfectly, giving me a solid 24-bit/192kHz digital signal. And red is my favorite color, so...there is that. ;o)

Very good build quality. I cant compare it to any cheaper version coax, I dont have cheap anything in my gear but it matches or accedes the quality of more expensive RCA cables I had used prior to this.

I should know by now that every time I buy one of the nicer audioquest cables that it will make a noticeable difference in my system. So it is here... I went from a Forest to a Cinnamon, and sure enough the cinnamon is clearly, noticeably better. Differences between cables are never night & day but if you have a quality system and care about subtle improvements, you’ll get it here. So much for those who say it’s just ones and zeroes so you can’t hear differences between usb cables. Try it yourself and you tell me. I also bought a cinnamon digital coax cable and found the same thing - noticeably better sound. No idea why, but it just is better.

I have been using a $10 cable...until now, with my Bluesound Node streamer. Those cables aint bad, but they can only go so far. This is my first premium cable and yes, cables matter. Something I learnt. It was worth it.

I have a very good reason for giving this cable a bad review. For one thing its too short, but I dont doubt that it is an upgrade from other cables. Right now I would highly advise checking out one of the greatest available deals on cables that Ive personally seen. That would be the Audioquest Silver Extreme available only from HCM Audio, sold on Amazon, and the HCM website. Also look up the discussions on digital coax cables having better performance if they are at least 1.5m. I have replaced my Forest Digital Coax with the Silver Extreme and it was a nice improvement in clarity and soundstage. This improvement was smaller than the difference these cables make as analog interconnects of course.

AudioQuest digital coax cables are designed to minimize distortion across an extremely wide bandwidth. Solid 1.25% silver conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter. Solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications. These signals being such a high frequency travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. As the surface is made of high-purity silver the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable but priced much closer to solid copper cable. Hard-cell foam insulation is used exclusively in most of AudioQuest’s video and digital audio cables. Similar to foamed-PE it is nitrogen injected to create air pockets. Hard foam is used because the stiffness of the material allows the conductors in the cable to maintain the same relationship with each other along the full length of the cable thus ensuring that the characteristic impedance of the cable is consistent. 100% shield coverage with foil and silver-plated braid. Shielding always plays an important role in any cable design but the shield on coax interconnect plays an especially important role because it functions not only as a shield but a return path as well. Because of this AudioQuest pays special attention to the shield.
