This paper shredder is all that and quiet too.

This machine is top notch. It works nearly silently (there is some noise but not like other shredders weve had!) and its ready to go all the time. All I have to do is start feeding something in and it goes. When its all done making confetti out of it, the machine stops on its own. Cant ask for better than that! And it is like confetti - perhaps someone with tons of time on their hands could maybe kinda sorta put something together but I am hard pressed to see how it would be possible. I love it!

This unit is the right size for our amount of shredding. Quiet, efficient.

OK, this might be the best thing Ive bought for years. So our family makes a lot of trash. Too much for the garbage people to pick up. So I decided to use paper bags and cardboard boxes as mulch. This machine is perfect. I can shove pieces of boxes, paper bags, everything that you can compost, through this and I get itty bits of stuff I can use for mulch. I totally abuse this machine and it never complains. It doesnt make strips like old fashioned paper shredders, it makes tiny pieces. Theres even a gear for when it gets stuck and you want to push it up. You can shove anything in it and it will drag it down. I just love this machine. Its even quiet!

Before this shredder, I assumed that all shredders just kinda had issues. This guy shreds like crazy, hasn’t jammed once and is oddly quiet in comparison.

Get the Amazon one for half the price. Has all the same features and works just as well. Take your extra $50 and treat yourself to something you wouldn’t otherwise purchase! I returned this, bought the Amazon one and did just that! Cheers.

Really like this product, nice to have it in white. Does a great job. The old Staples MailMate seems similar, and we really liked that shredder, too.

I really loved my old Casa Desktop Junk Mail Shredder (SES-C1000DT) (similar to MailMate), but I would carelessly shred adhesive labels without any thought that I was ruining the blades. So after 8 years, the Casa abruptly stopped working. No amount of oil would budge the blades so it was time to replace it. It was really important that my new shredder have the same small footprint on top of my desk because using up floor space was not an option. The Aurora is expensive, but the small size is perfect for the space I have and its quiet and has a 5 year warranty. I will not be shredding adhesive labels on this one!

Its quite heavy to lift and move.
