> 3 dayI was looking extensively for a robust car battery tester with high accuracy for months. I found the Autel BT 608 (E) Battery Tester. This little device is packed with a plathera of features that will amaze you! As a DYI person whose does basic maintenance on many cars, this marvel of technology allows anyone to check car batteries simply following a series of prompts on the five inch color touch screen. Okay, sounds interesting right. Well this unit will test lead/acid flooded, enchanted flooded, AGM flat and AGM spiral and GEL using adaptive conductance for 6 volt to 12 volt batteries. It’s a wi-fi, and blue tooth enabled device with “lifetime” updated via wi-fi on many car manufacturers speciations that are periodically updated. Did I mention the Bluetooth dongle? Yes, it has an obdII dongle so it can populate the screen with information from the car itself! Believe me there more features as well like a built-in thermal printer…etc. The only downside is the price. At the time of this review I payed about $540 plus taxes. It’s a professional level tool for a good price. Auto dealers have just as accurate battery testers that costs thousands. This is a purchase is one I do not regret because of all the features. I can literally check any car battery, alternator and starter in about 10 minutes and give the owner a printout with all the relevant information with a high level of accuracy.

> 3 dayWe maintain a variety of equipment and vehicles in our shop with that goes many batteries of all types, we needed a convenient tool to quickly check the battery and the electrical systems as part of our PM program. So far this unit had worked perfectly and gives our techs a quick way to diagnose problems. This isnt our first Autel product, and like our other this feels durable enough to withstand a shop environment.

> 3 dayNeeded a Battery / charging system tester. Have had great luck with Autel so far so I gave this a try. It works better than I thought. Screen is easy to read and doubles as a handy scanner with live data. My only negative is it should have an AMP clamp .

Autel Advanced Car Battery Tester BT608 (E): Adaptive Conductance Technology
Autel Battery Tester BT608 (E) adopts Adaptive Conductance to gauge a battery’s conductance health. A low frequency alternating current is sent through the battery to determine its remaining plate area. As the battery degrades, the plates degrade, as does its capacity and its conductance. Beside its consistent results, this method’s advantage over typical load testers is its ability to allow multiple tests without draining the battery and to test batteries that are low or completely discharged. Autel BT608 uses Adaptive Conductance to test the battery and its partnering, the alternator and starter to see if they can take and store a charge.

Autel Auto Battery Tester BT608: Starter Tester
Autel vehicle starter tester BT608 (E) can also run the starter test, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the test. Start the engine and let it idle. The test results will display Starting Voltage, Starting Current, Starting time.

The alternator output test is repeated with the additional electrical load created by turning on several vehicle systems. The value will be measured again both at normal idle speed and between 2,000 to 3,000 rpm engine speed. Alternator is charging correctly.
