I use the Garmin in environments subject to dirt and dust so having a cap that protects the contact area filling up is really useful. Easy to plug and unplug when charging and no more build up of crud in the back of the watch

I can see why they supply them in multiple packs; they fall out really easily and, even when they stay in they dont really block sweat from getting through to the terminals (used on Garmin Instinct). In hindsight Im not sure why I got them; the terminals are waterproof and easy to rinse off after a long run. A case of a solution looking for a problem?!
