Installed. Not used sander, but holds paper like factory Makita. And fits the same. Time will tell

Have 2 B05041 5 orbital sanders and using for log home restoration. Makita OEM replacement sanding pads are $20+ each - these aftermarket AxPower pads are $6 each so we decided to try them after reading the majority of positive comments on Amazon ... which now we cant even begin to understand. We ordered 2 pads and installed on both sanders. Within 1 hour on the first day of use both sanders started flipping sanding discs off. The whiteish areas you see in the photos arent dust - its disintegration of the pads which began almost immediately. No we dont press to hard. You learn fast to let the tool do the work on a large project. Solution? Good question. Makita OEM pads will last several days longer but are also made in the big C and do start flipping discs off. Hard to say if you get your $20 worth but at least you can make some progress. With these relatively cheap AxPower pads youll spend most of your time flipping still good sanding discs off and changing out pads. Unfortunately we missed the return window on these because the project was delayed. Weve got another aftermarket brand on order to try out and will write a review on those once used. Weve also contacted Makita directly and let them know their pads wear out quick and encouraged them to pursue USA made.

Why buy 1 sanding pad from a well-named home improvement brand when you can buy 4 from a much-lesser known brand that works exactly the same and for the same price?!
