I feel like this may be one of those things that you buy just for aesthetic to match a nursery or decor that isn’t actually very useful beyond the newborn phase like others would be. I think if I were buying for aesthetic though I would leave off the black and white pieces as they kind of ruin the natural/boho look and honestly I think baby would like the black and white toys more than the others though because they’re interesting. The wood is mostly smooth but still splintery on the edges though so I wouldn’t really want to use it once baby is able to move around a bit more. Assembly is pretty simple although the legs won’t go the exact way they show in the pictures with the rope knotted on the same side. You have to do opposite (see photos) or the angle on the bottom of the legs doesn’t work in the base. Otherwise it’s just 2 little knobs that hold the center dowel to the braces and the legs set into the bases. There are holes predrilled to (I assume) put screws in the legs to hold them to the base but it didn’t come with any screws and didn’t mention it in the instructions. Make sure when attaching the dowel that you put the wood toys on first or you will have to take it back apart to get the on. The plastic toys can just clip on. I noticed a lot of dust on my hands after assembling so I would recommend a good wipe down after. It does have 2 different height settings on the base which is cool and collapses for flat storage but you do have to completely disassemble your get to fit back in the box. One other thing I thought of too is that the wood would probably be a bad idea if you also have older children. I could see my toddlers knocking it over on our baby and wood will hurt a lot more than most the plastic/foam ones so I would recommend for mobile babies or babies with older siblings. Overall I think this is super cute and I’m sure people will still buy it just for the look, but I really don’t think it’s that practical. After 3 babies I can guarantee baby will enjoy the soft plastic and colorful or even just black and white contrasty types of other gyms more than this so I would recommend thinking of the baby and not the look that you like.

Perfect mix of stimulating With the black and white and relaxing neutral wood that it doesn’t look like an eyesore in the living room. Only dislike is that it’s hard to move from one room to another without having to take the legs out of the bottom pieces and reset it up again. You can’t just grab it with one hand. Overall quality is impressive for the price, seems like it should cost an arm and a leg.

This baby play gym is so cute! It’s natural wood so it’ll go with any type of decor. It has several different hanging toys to keep baby entertained. This makes a great baby shower gift.

This is a great option if you’re looking for something just a bit more aesthetically pleasing. This was easy to put together and goes really well with my decor. My baby thoroughly enjoys it too!

The Baby K Wooden Blay Play Gym is my favorite toy that my baby has! I love the minimalist design that the natural wood gives it. It’s very on-trend style-wise. It has six different toys that are a mix of wood and black and white. You can customize the hanging toys however you like them. The toys and gym seem very durable and I think my baby will play with them for months. I would purchase this item again. This gym would also make a great baby shower gift.

I love wooden baby items. Not only are they beautiful, but they are durable, are aesthetically pleasing, and are a healthier alternative to their plastic counterparts. This wooden play gym would work well in a Montessori play space, or any space with minimalistic styling and decor. The inclusion of the wooden hanging toys is awesome. They are both gorgeous and practical, especially for teething babies. The wood is sanded well and is splinter-free. There are two soft toys included as well. I love the black and white contrasting designs as they are attractive to newborn eyes. I find my baby staring at them, as well as grasping for them. The larger one plays music when pressed, which actually surprised me. In looking back at the product listing, I see it noted as playing music, but I guess I didn’t expect it. The music is a bit loud and is a high pitched version of Disneyland’s “Small World.” Assembly is simple and intuitive, and once up, is sturdy. There are holes in the base that appear to be for the insertion of nails or screws, neither of which are included. I find it works fine without them, as the gym stays upright without issue, and the triangular shape makes it sturdy.

Really enjoy this play gym for my baby. I got this because he’s a newborn and I love how all the toys come in black and white. There are 5 hanging toys and they are very cute and my baby loves to look at these all day. One of them also make a beautiful musical sound when shaken. The play gym is also well made and it was not that difficult to put together. Love how it also comes with a book and mirror for additional stimulation for my baby.

This BABY K Wooden Baby Play Gym is a wonderfully unique and fun toy for babies to interact with. It is constructed extremely well and I really like that it is made of wood. All the different accessories items have nice designs, shapes, and tactile feel to allow for good motor development. It is convenient to be able to fold up the gym and store it without taking up much space either. The cloth cards are a cute bonus item as well. Highly recommend it!

For the first couple of months babies see mostly black and white and shades of grey. High contrast things are more likely to attract their attention. BABY K Wooden Baby Play Gym has a combination of beautiful wood and high contrast toys for baby to look at and explore. It is a little tricky to put together but quality wood toys are worth the extra time. Pair this with a nice play mat and its a perfect baby gym.
