> 3 dayI purchased hiyahiya, chai goo, and clover 9 inch needles to see which one I’d prefer to use. I honestly didn’t think I’d like the clover, because bamboo is considered the “slow” needle. It doesn’t matter what material my needles are made of, I always have to scoot my stitches over as I knit. While the metal glides a little easier, it’s not that big of a difference on these small needles. That just in my knitting and your results may be different. I love the bend in this needle as it keeps my stitches flowing better. I think this is the main reason why I prefer this needle over the others I tested. My clover needles get slicker with use, and I dip the bamboo part in bamboo conditioner (normally used to cost cutting boards) which helps. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend them.

09-06-2025I really love these 9-inch circular needles! They are the perfect length for knitting adult socks. The bamboo needle tips provide just enough drag to keep the stitches from accidentally dropping off - a chronic problem I have with metal double-point needles (DPNs). It is true that for the first couple of rounds you may feel as if you are knitting with matchsticks, but as the knitting grows it becomes easy to maintain a relaxed grip on your knitting. I just finished my first pair of socks with these and was astonished at how fast I can complete a project without the constant needle adjustments that are required of both magic-loop knitting and traditional DPNs. The results are beautiful - absolutely smooth stockinette stitch without any trace of the laddering that can occur when knitting with DPNs. These needles have forever changed how I knit socks. Im so in love with them that Ive bought them in size 1, 2 and 3. You should give these a try - I predict you will love them too!

> 3 dayThese needles are good for lace knitting or finishing up another project like a baby hat. The needles are teeny, so they might be difficult to get used to if you have big hands, would probably work well for kids

> 3 dayOne reviewer said it was like knitting with matchsticks. I didnt believe it. It was worse! My fingers got so cramped. Never again. I went back to straight needles for my next project.

> 3 dayA lovely little needle. I admit, it took a few rows to adjust to the tiny circle, but once I did its been nothing but smooth sailing. The needle is durable and the stitches slide smoothly. Clover has yet to disappoint me, and I expect to buy more of their products in the future.
