Banjo LS100-80 Polypropylene Y Strainer, 80 Mesh, 1 NPT Female

Using this on 1 PVC pipe feeding a 650gph pump for hydroponics. Works good. I threaded a mpt/slip adapter and had zero leaks there or at the top of the strainer. Its pretty durable and is a good deal for the price compared to others online....about 1./4 of the price and Id definitely buy more of these.

Installed this on my sprinkler field from the aerobic system. Keeps the spray heads clean and functioning with only filter maintenance vs. cleaning spray heads. Great product.

Working as described

I used this to replace a higher priced filter that developed a leak. While it does not have as much filtration, it is working fine and was priced much lower.

First off I’d like to say I had a good experience with the seller, the seller did everything well. As far as the product is concerned I would not recommend this filter. I bought this to use as a mesh filter for my power washer in my power washing business. The first filter was delivered quickly but had bad threads and had to be returned. The second filter was delivered even faster and looked to have good threads so I installed it for use. I used a high quality PTFE tape on both the inlet and outlet connections, one connection was brass the other was PVC and although I used the proper amount of sealant and the fittings were more than tight enough both connections developed very small leaks. Could the issue be the fault of a bad installation? Possibly but I’m confident that in the course of 31 years of experience and thousands of installs I’ve completed in those years that the fault lies somewhere in the filter construction.
