I use this as a base for oil washing and in my son’s hair to soften it. It’s very clean and pure. Definitely my go-to brand, especially at this price.

My daughter has battled with eczema since she was a baby. Now shes 14 and is self conscience like any ordinary teen. She used steroid ointments for years, but became worried when she found out about the long term affects on the skin. She switched to mineral oil based on a suggestion from our primary care doctor, and it worked fairly well but she would still have episodes where her arms and legs had noticeable eczema. A few months later we went to see her dermatologist. He suggested sunflower oil because it has natural anti-bacterial properties. Eczema patients are more prone to infection because their skin is almost like an open wound when it is dry and irritated. I searched the different sunflower oils available. Many looked like they were more for cooking or not a very high quality. Banyan Botanicals is the brand that I felt comfortable with after reading its description and reviews. Im glad I found this product. My daughter has been using it now for a little over a month. If you didnt know any better you wouldnt even know she has eczema. The other day we were riding in the car and I looked over at her arms and legs. They looked so good, I told her WOW, you look like a regular kid. I got a big smile out of her.

I love this oil! I recently started getting facials (oilplaning) done as part of my skin care routine. The aesthetician suggested I moisturize daily using the oil as part of my regimen. It is VERY lightweight and absorbs nicely, which is perfect during the summer months. It’s taken over my face lotion this season. I love that there’s absolutely NO SCENT to the oil. I have sensitive skin, so this is a plus. In addition to using on my face, I also apply to my body after showering and do a brief Ayurvedic massage. My skin drinks it in and feels so soft and moisturized afterwards. Since incorporating into my skincare routine, my face seems brighter and healthier. I definitely recommend. For the price, you get an incredible amount, which is a lot less costly than at a whole foods or natural market. Tip: Store in a cool, dark place to prevent it from going rancid. Can’t wait to see how it does in the winter, when my face dries out. Will have to update later.

I bought this after sampling sunflower oil. It goes on smooth but not heavy and is great for an after shower skin moisturizer. My hair is natural and it also moisturizers without being greasy or too heavy. The scent is light and pleasant. If youre looing for a natural replacement for lotion, this is it.
