LED lights clue you in on whether a battery is charging or charged. Pretty slick setup. And you dont have to put the radio in it to charge a battery. You can simply put just the battery in the charger, it has the side tabs to hold the battery in place. So even if you dont have multiple radios, but do have multiple batteries, you might find this unit pretty handy.
