This is the 2nd time that i am buying a product from WD and would say that its always excellent to have one especially the cloud setup that i can manage. Overall setup was no hassle. Excellent product..

Great product

This case allows me to secure a Seagate drive and leave the cord plugged in to the drive, eliminating the need to remove that special plug every time. Those cord plugs are really tight and Ive always worried about wearing the plug itself out. The computer end of the cord is standard USB. Old habits die hard. This drive is the backup that I take with me when I leave the house.

Plenty of room to fit your hard drive with the usb cord plugged in and there is plenty of space to secure thumb drive too.

I bought this to have extra cable storage as I thought my 4TB WD My Passport drive had a shorter cable. Its 18 inches and stores well, I dont even need to take the drive out of the case. There IS storage for flash drives in the padded separator, but with the thick 4TB WD drive I could not close the case properly with flash drives mounted in the flap. My THIN Seagate 640GB drive would be thin enough to use the flash drive holders. This is the only negative, that with a thicker drive the flash drive holders are not really usable. But I CAN keep a retractable USB cable as a spare extension and room for some flash drives that would basically be over where you see the cable stored in the picture. The case is very solid and nicely padded. While any rough treatment of a hard drive even when its off is a very bad thing, I would be comfortable putting this in a bag or backpack. It would protect against other items in the bag. It was well worth the money. Some of the smaller cases looked like they might not hold my WD drive. Apparently older My Passport drives had very rounded corners and this one is very sharp square corners. This drive fits under the strap and is about the same level as the zipper in the case. There is good storage in it. Glad I bought this.

I purchased a Baval Hard Case for WD MyPassport several years ago. The case was thick, padded, and provided protection for the external hard drive. When I purchased a new WD MyPassport, I also repurchased the Baval Hard Case for the new drive. HOWEVER, unlike the older case, the new Baval Hard Case is not as thick. It does not have the same padding around the outer interior edges. The exterior part of the case feels and appears thinner than the original case. The NEW case clearly states that is was made in China. The original case did not have the Made in China tag. The NEW case shows a poor Chinese quality of workmanship from the original Baval Hard Case. I am not certain who the parent company of Baval is, but quality control has has taken a dive.
