    Half of our rat cage is fleece lined, which is not at all absorbent of odors. Adding the granules under the fleece helps eliminate urine smell. A single bottle lasts over a year for us, using it on 1.5 trays of a double critter nation (the rest is dig-able bedding). Its only made for sale in the UK however, so order a good month or so before you run out.
