I installed Bearing Buddy on a very old boat trailer that I was taking on a fairly long trip. I was afraid the bearings might run a bit hot as they had gotten quite warm on a much shorter trip even with an ample amount of grease. The bearing buddy really helped as I was able to drive 70 miles a hour on the freeway and the heat generated was very minimal, hardly noticeable. Another thing I liked was when launching the boat I did not worry that dirty water would get to the bearings. Just the peace of mind this gave me was worth every penny of the cost. I have the 1980A-SS Bearing Buddies on my trailer. I broke the blue spool by scraping it against my gate. Etrailer.com said I have to purchase new a bearing. I emailed BearingBuddy.com and Millie sent me a new blue spool with circlip free of charge....WOW! WHAT SERVICE! Totally pleased with Millie at Bearing Buddy! Great product. Just dont be a dummy like me and scrape it against your gate!
