I am done with strangely named and spelled Chinese electronics. I use branded cords and plugs I trust and Belkin sits directly below Apple on my list because its products last years instead of months. More money, but less waste. Makes sense.

Belkin is one of less than five brands that I trust to charge any and all of my smartphones, laptops, and earbuds. Im really careful with my best tech and the cables/chargers that I use. Almost everything is powered by rechargeable batteries and some of them are impossible or difficult to replace, so treating them carefully is the best thing you do to give your devices a long lifespan. This is a simple, 20 watt charger for devices that support USB C Power Delivery. 20 watts is the new de facto standard for smartphone chargers, it used to be 18 watts until the iPhone 12 series devices came out with support for 20 watt fast charging. This is pretty much a clone of the Apple made charger that does not come with the iPhone 12 anymore. MagSafe, HomePod mini, iPad Pro and iPhone 12 series all use 20 watt wall adapters. This is the same shape and size as the the Apple made charger, this is also not made from GaN technology that allows chargers to be a lot smaller. This isnt a big charger, in and of itself, its just bigger than the GaN type of chargers. I dont think its that big a deal for smartphone sized chargers, it only becomes really useful with laptop sized wall adapters. This recharged my iPhone 12 Pro as fast as the one that came with my Homepod mini, 0-65% in 30 minutes.

The USB-C charging is great as Im trying to only buy products that charge via USB-C and most products I have support Power Delivery which is supported by these products. If you have an iPhone 8 or newer, do yourself a favor and get one of these chargers with a USB-C to lightning cable to enjoy charging incredibly faster than the included charger.

got this on Amazon Prime Day so the pricing was good. the manufacturer is a brand name in power adapter, as good as Anker. so you know the probability of it blowing up like some no name brands is much less likely. with power adapters delivering 20W, 30W, ... and more. safety is very important so buying from reputable makers is definitely a consideration. it stays cool during charging but the prongs dont fold.

This was just what I needed for charging my phone. If youre anything like me, you charge your phone from multiple locations - bedside, desk, sofa side, etc. This works great for my phone, and also my laptop and tablet. Im really happy with the speed and small size of this!
