I bought this for my boyfriend (a Ghibli fan) and he loved it! Once he accidentally dropped it from his desk and we were so pleased that it didnt break. This is a well made cup

This is great, it’s the perfect size for how much I like to drink of any beverage and doubles as more than enough space for a cup of soup. I don’t recommend microwaving it, however when you pour a hot liquid directly into the cup becomes exactly the right temperature to warm your hands if they are cold or feel cozy when it is warm out. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t get too hot via this method. I suspect this is the design intention as when I was in Japan during a winter/spring I had a tea at a place out of a cup like this and the effect was similar. I suspect this is a traditional cup for exactly this purpose too! Its really quite perfect, a bit shinier than pictured, warm when a hot liquid is in it (or very cool and sweats if an ice cold liquid is in it), keeps your hands warm when they are cold. Overall amazing cozy feel and it’s adorable yet stylish as well. Loving my Totoro cup!

This is a splendid gift for the Ghibli or Totoro fan. It’s grayish-white with blue speckles, so the cup itself is not ‘plain’, and then all the way around is Totoro! The figures are stamped into the ceramic, and then paint is applied in the indentation, so the design is not just surface paint. I don’t use it for liquid, it’s a pen cup for me, and it’s very happy-making. I would buy it again. Totoro bliss!

I just received this mug as a birthday present and I absolutely love it! I had saved it to a wish list, so I knew what I was getting before hand, but it still was prettier in person than I was expecting. Part of me didnt think it would look as good in person as the pics online, but I was so wrong. The design itself is imprinted in the mug, so it has some good texture to it and there werent any imperfections in the ink. The only thing I considered docking a point for is that the mug itself gets really hot, and without a handle it can be overwhelming to hold with hot tea inside. I figure Ill probably appreciate that more in the winter, so I kept it at 5 stars! Would definitely buy another one or gift one to a friend :)

I saw this cup at the academy museum of arts gift shop in Los Angeles during the Miyazaki exhibit. Absolutely fell in love with it but bought the same one on Amazon due to it being 8$ cheaper. When the cup came. I was devastated. The porcelain is NOTICEABLY thinner, the packaging wasnt even the same as the pictures on Amazon which matched the one at the gift shop. If I knew I would have gotten such a cheaper version I would gladly have paid the extra 8$. Lesson learned for me.
