Some of the color changes have big knots that have to be cut out. Otherwise great yarn for making pillows.

The Bernat Blanket Yarn in Burgundy Ombre was the perfect color combination for a basket I crocheted as a gift. The yarn itself was super soft and easy to work with, once I had frogged my first attempt and increased my hook size (to loosen my work, which tends to be tight). Specific to my single skein, each color had a roughly equal length (5 rows of 80sc) and there was only one knot which was close enough to the end that I started with that it was removed without impacting the project. This yarn is closer to bulky than super bulky, in my opinion. It works up quickly and has such a pleasant feel while crocheting and in the finished project that I would love to work with it again.

Soft and easy to work with. Beautiful colors. I made my mother a multi-colored blanket and my g-daughter a baby doll blanket from the scraps. (Previously used Bernat blanket for 8 years and a lot of blankets.) This product is My new go-to.

Super soft nice yarn. Making a blanket with the dusty rose color. Lovely texture and ombré look. Will definitely purchase again-I’m a beginner and it was really nice and easy to work with. Would make a great cowl scarf too!

Because of its thickness I wouldnt say its super easy to use for beginners but its still a great yarn and I love it

Have been trying to get a pretty afgan done for my gd. I liked the feel of the yarn by Berat and she chose the color in the ombre skein which would go well with her colors at college. However, I am on my 3rd skein and have at least 4 more to go. I have been very very disappointed with this ombre. It is not a true fade within the skein... every skein so far has had at least 4 knots connecting where a color was supposed to fade gradually to another one. I would have changed to a solid color in this dark cranberry/burgandy if I could have but I got into the first skein, I either wasted my time and or choice or throw it away! Will not use this again if I can get around it. I have chosen to cut at the knot and use the color to connect at a new row completely rather than have it change color so suddenly (with a obvious knot). Would not recommend this if you want a true ombre. Would rather go with a dapple or stripe, so I know what Im supposed to have as an outcome. Of course, if its the same brand, I would probably run into all the knots wont I ???

I love this yarn and have bought a bunch of rolls now (lost count) during the making of a massive blanket. BUTTTT not all of the balls are consistent. Some are cut and tied together missing one section of the color half way through a roll or will have a knot in the middle of a color section where two pieces were obviously put together. The first ball I used just had a maybe 3 yard piece of the darkest color wrapped around the outside which made for a very sad discovery a good ways into my project. Other than that this is my favorite yarn. I might refrain from purchasing through Amazon though and just go through the distributor to ensure quality consistency

If you are looking for a very soft yarn to work with this is definitely the product for you. Im very picky when it comes to just the right yarn for my projects and this one had me floored. Its easy to use and very very soft. I made these pillow covers for my clients and they loved them. The color is nothing to scoff at either as they transition really well. Did I even mention that it washes well in the a conventional washer and dryer depending on the knit pattern you use (close knits recommended) This is certainly one of Bernats better products. 10/10 would recommend.

Bernat is the best yarn for blankets. It is the only brand I use when making baby blankets for friends. It is soft and washes very well.
