Just what I needed for my BiOrb Beta Fish tank. My only wish is that you didnt have to order the air stone separately, but otherwise this works well. Clear instructions and just what is needed.

I buy this for my Bioorb fish tank whenever it is time to change the filter. It always arrives in a timely fashion, and it is very easy to install.

I have never had a problem with the biological booster, but Ive used the water conditioner a few times and it has always killed everything in my tank. The water optimizer is not sold in this kit, but it also has always killed my fish. So now the only thing I ever add is the biological booster.

I enjoyed this product UNTIL I decided to use the water conditioner. My fish were dead within hours. The water conditioner DOES NOT work! I wish I would have used my regular water conditioner, but it’s too late now. I am so upset with this product!

Had my 3 biorbs working over a year now. No problems. Reading some of the other reviews I do do some things differently. First, I never put anything in my tank without putting it in at least a half gallon bottle of water first (when changing water.) I also rinse out the sponge in used fish water. Not in straight tap water. Thats just putting chlorine, etc in the sponge and then directly into the tank! I do rinse out the sponge and put it back in once or twice before replacing the whole filter. I didnt see any review mention the little black and white balls under the sponge. These presumably are the charcoal, etc which also have value and a limited lifespan. So imho a filter does need to be fully replaced. I use seachem prime and stability with every water change. I only use the biob supplied chemicals when I have to take the fish and everything else out about twice a year for a total cleaning.

When I clean my tank, I have to use the service kit. I have been using these for about 3 years.
