UPDATED REVIEW I tried to remove this panel from my window. The adhesive is permanent. I just spent two hours trying to remove it and have only managed about 2-3 inches. It sticks to both the window and the window frame and will not budge. I am likely going to lose my security deposit now. I will not buy this again. So frustrating!! ORIGINAL REVIEW Like many of you, I was tired of seeing the ugly AC weather-stripping foam and accordion. This product completely blocks that out, so all you see is a simple solid white area. Its very easy to cut to your AC size, too. After measuring, you stick the double-sided tape on the window (or the back of the product; I dont think it makes a difference), remove the tape backing, and then press into place. Easy! If your window as a bottom lip, be aware that this will leave a small lump/bump if your otherwise smooth white canvas. It doesnt bother me, but I hadnt contemplated this before I started and it doesnt look quite as nice as the photos. However, it still looks nice in general and functions correctly, so whatevs. The only headache was removing the back of the double-sided tape. I live in a dry climate with a lot of static, so those clear backs were impossible to remove. It was hard to see them (you have to flick and claw at the corners until it comes loose because its so clear that you cant really see where the tape ends and the backing starts), and as youre pulling the backing away, it wants to be reunited with the tape and jumps back into place. I am fairly handy with home projects and a lover of double-sided tape (I use it for everything from gift wrapping to taping up picnic sandwiches), so why was this such a struggle for me?! Maybe this was user error, but I was really irritated. So, dont do this project when youre grumpy and maybe do it in a humid bathroom after you shower, or ask a friend with clammy hands to come over and help you. Dry hands and climate will not be useful when you get to the taping step. And the tape is super sticky so try not to touch it. It doesnt leave any residue but it will cling to your fingers and not the window if you even look at it. Multiple times I accidentally brushed it while pulling my hand away and the tape jumped off the window and clung to me instead.

I needed this more so to keep insects (stink bugs) out. It works like a charm. I have not seen one yet. It also is a plus for keeping the heat out and cool air in.

I like that it was easy to install. It is thick and keeps out the sound and insulates well around the air conditioner. I leave my air conditioner in all year round. This insulates nicely around the AC.

Good extra layer of insulation.

So for me purchasing 2 units for living room and bedroom to cover 900 sq ft took a lot of research. I was looking for price point, quality and efficiency. This machine surprised me. I expected it to be good from the reviews but for me these are great! Digital up to date technology, eco mode and looks nice. This is the bang for the buck deal.

It was almost impossible to handle as it was rolled up so tight that you couldn’t hold it flat in order to place it in the window and keep it down. Also the tape supplied it was absolutely worthless you couldn’t handle it and control it in anyway shape or form in order to get it where you wanted to put it is it was more like sticky silly putty. It would stick to itself and you buy the Chinese got any length of it tell them the paper it was packaged with it would curl and stick to itself or you it was impossible to put it in where you really needed it. I was very unhappy with the product.
