Black Diamond Mens Rocklock Screwgate Carabiner

Pro: less likely to inadvertently unlock due to rope running across the gate (most auto locking carabiners can do this); smoother surfaces than most locking ‘biners Con: user must always remember to use the gate lock (not self-locking); a bit slower when switching hardware, vs other designs

This carabiner is attached to my key lanyard. I didn’t realize how large it was until I got it in hand - which turned out to be really great for me. Seems to be made well & I really like the color pattern too.

I wasnt using this for climbing but to secure some TRX exercise straps to an overhead beam. Needless to say, it has to be bombproof. Black Diamond makes outstanding equipment.
