> 3 dayBlue Magic waterbed conditioner is the only brand I will use. I have never had a problem with any of their products. I have had the same waterbed for 34 years and I still love it. Its of of the very rare Grand Bahama limited production California King bed. I only use the best to protect my investment.

> 3 dayGood value and packaged well. If you only need a partial bottle you must measure out the correct amount as there are no markings or see through spaces on the bottle.

> 3 dayThis is the same Blue Magic waterbed conditioner I have used for several years now, and had no problems with it until this batch. That is because the previous batches came in 4 oz bottles, and this is an 8 oz bottle. The instructions on the bottle say to pour the whole thing (8 ounces) into the waterbed at once. Ignore this. When I poured the whole 8 ounces in, in a couple of hours my bed began to smell of new vinyl... really strongly. By the morning my whole room stank. It was a pretty unbearable smell. It also seemed to soften the material of my water mattress and I am not sure that is a good thing. I finally wound up half-draining the bed, then refilling it with plain water, to get the equivalent of 4 oz of conditioner in it. This solved the problem and it is back to normal, no longer smells. What I suggest is that when you have a bottle of 8 oz or larger of this conditioner, instead of completely tearing open the seal at the top, just punch two holes in it on opposite sides (like the old, old beer cans or oil cans, that you used to punch open with a can opener). Pour only 4 oz of the conditioner at a time into the bed, then screw the cap back on the bottle and keep it for next time. (6 months or so) The older Blue Magic conditioner that you used to be able to buy in the big clear bottles in stores such as KMart, also said only put 4 oz in at a time. The big 16 oz bottle even had 4 oz lines marked on its side so you could measure it out properly. You would just put the cap back on the bottle and keep the rest of the conditioner until the next dose.

> 3 dayMindful of a warning from another reviewer here at Amazon.com, I added the bottle slowly as I put more water into my California-king-sized waterbed. Since the smell of the conditioner didnt seem to be permeating the waterbed or the room, I eventually ended up adding the whole bottle. When I first get in bed now I do smell the conditioner a little bit, so perhaps I should have stopped at 6 oz, but I certainly havent experienced the unbearable smell that B. Parcells experienced. Beyond that I cant really tell if the product works or not. I mean Ive had the waterbed for 28 years now, so I suppose that might say something positive about the conditioner. :-)
