Great -exactly as described. Need to practice putting it on -it is a tight fit, but the sizes do correspond to the tire sizes well (even if you dont believe it when first try to install it over the tire. Once on, it stays snug and taut. Looks good -quite weatherproof.

I thought it looked cheap. Also, it was two pieces and didnt look as good as the picture. I returned the item.

... and it was super easy to install!! The hard plastic outer shell is quite sturdy and looks very sharp compares to the nylon covers that look kind of droopy, even when stretched over the tire. The shade of black is deep and matches well with the black color on my Rav4.

This is a plastic shield attached to a flexible vinyl skirt. The plastic is a matte finish. The skirt has a piece of heavy elastic on the inner ring. Unlike the Toyota original there is no zipper on and off, there is no shiny matching color. This is a practical replacement but not as fancy as what came on the car. If your into the original look (ie; matching color) you will be disappointed. When I put it on, it was practical,it looked clean and not out of place, and no one is going to steal it. Unfortunately, after two trips thru the car wash in 6 months it dissappeared. I went back to the car wash to find that the cover had been pulled off and was quite mangled. The vinyl siding had been pulled from the rigid plastic. My Rav sport has 18 factory tires (about 27 diameter, 9 width). This cover was a very tight fit and I believe if the elastic had been more around the back of the tire, instead of barely gripping the lower inside edge, it would of survived. Alas, not the case. I did find that regular tire covers (non-toyota) specific for $15-$30 were satisfactory. For me the extra $$ for the plastic shield that gets ripped off was not worth the extra $$.

2012 rav4 225/65/17. 29 fit perfect. Its a little tricky to get the cover to wrap around the back of a rav4 spare because they are countersunk in the vehicle trim but not impossible. Toyota no longer offers pre-painted replacements, only primer versions that you need to paint to match. This runs about 180$ for the cover plus paint shop fees. This is an excellent alternative and looks great! Hope this helps others.
