i had an imac early 2008 .replaced a bad hdd with a new one but after i installed OS 10.6 it wouldnt update anything . said the os udates expired. had the unit for 10 years and i decided to research to see if i can put in another OS. i found your product that had the details on upgrading an older apple desktop and it showed my model was included. it came in around 1pm this afternoon and 1 hour later i have a working imac with EL Capitan installed in it. runs perfect and shows a better picture on the screen. your product is as advertised to be.

Had to set laptop on a sturdy table to get everything to transfer correctly

The product is as described, what brings the whole experience to the next level is the customer support. I was reaching out to them on a Friday night because an error kept popping up while installing. The customer service responded promptly and stayed with me for at least an hour before we were able to get the os installed. Highly recommended! I no longer need to recycle a usable laptop and save me a lot of money!

I had a problem reinstalling OS X El Capitan, and bootus came to my rescue. I’m so glad I found them, and their customer service is superb. When the first usb that was sent to me didn’t help my computer, another was sent out the same day, for free and, they were there to walk me through everything. I would refer anyone to them that have a problem trying reinstall their software. Thank you bootus

I have an old 2009 Mac Book Pro that ran fine, but was running a little slow. I decided to wipe the hard drive and reinstall the OS. Unfortunately, Apple no longer supports El Capitan, which is the newest OS this thing will run. So, it was a fancy paper weight. Then: I bought this product and tried to install it many times. I kept emailing back and forth with the customer support team. They were so great. Amazing service. Eventually, I got my computer back working! Not sure why I had such a problem, but their support team was the best, patiently making suggestions and emailing me back and forth for a week.
