These bad boys are awesome for stabilizing my humidor. I place all 4 in the humidor (Pelican 1500 with cedar inserts [Spanish Cedar Cigar Tray, Compatible with Display 5 or the Display 7 Cigar Humidor Models, by Quality Importers], 2x makes an amazing humidor) and leave for at least a month. Wanna know the secret to re-charging these things? Here goes: Get a small scale Weigh each fresh Boveda and mark weight, in grams on them with permanent marker Use as normal Weigh to know when they lose 10-15 grams of weight, no more When -15g, place in an airtight container as follows: new, fresh dish sponges lining the bottom, plate atop sponges, wet the sponges until theres 1/16 water on the bottom and sponges are saturated. Place Boveda packets onto the plate - stacked is okay, just takes longer Seal up and leave for a week Open and re-weigh. after about a week or more, they should go back to starting weight and youre ready to use them again Best strategy - Get two sets and just leave the spares in the sealed container until you need them. Youll never need humidipacks again...just cycle the two sets. If they dry past 15g or so (25-30% of starting mass), they may not reconstitute

Great product. There are alternative methods which I havent tried, I only have past experience using terra cotta disks, so these were another level. Just toss the packet(s) into your container with materials in need of a little reinvigoration, and when you return (after ample time has passed) you will find your dry, stale product will be look, feel, smell, and taste to its upmost potential. If you prefer your material just a tad on the moist side the 62%s are ideal, havent used any others.

This product is a product to be reckoned with. Very convenient and true to its standard. It keeps my herbal medicine fresh and healthy. Ive dealt with herbs that looks its freshness and texture that dry and turns dusty. My herbs are always fresh now and the product bought my herbs back to life. Very impressed and Ive used them for about a year now. If you have good herbs why not have them stored and kept healthy properly. Good product all the way through . Cant go wrong with this choice. Boveda brand is now legendary at this point.

Why do whole bags seem to always disappear though, Ill never understand.

Update: after 10 days and constant burping, the humidity finally went down but I have no idea whether or not these packs are to blame. It definitely does not show immediate effects and I used these side by side in multiple containers throughout burping. What I noticed is that it does stabilize humidities more but not significantly. I used them AFTER curing purely as maintenance and not for the process itself. Original review: Not sure if this takes weeks or months but I started this two days ago and I notice absolutely no difference in the readings. Even in smaller jars, I put two of them in with some bud at 67% humidity and my hygrometer still shows the same humidity. Not sure if these work at all and will update if it does, but so far, seems placebo. The meter never lies.
