I like the quality of the product and my label maker itself, fabulous. I took one star away because my god, the labels are expensive. It also seems like when you are making a decent amount of labels, you fly right through a new cartridge. I have not done a major cost comparison but it does seem like it we go through a lot of them without really using it a lot. I also notice that i need to make one short label each time i change sizing as the first label that comes out is always printing the first letter half the way through. Not sure if this is the label or the label maker itself as i do not have another label maker to test my cartridges on and it does it on 6mm, 1/2 and 3/4. Not the end of the world there, just pointing that out.

I bought the 21+ printer and although it does have some great features for a portable machine, the one thing I was looking for it cant do. I build a terminal strip for an interface connection and I wanted to mark the terminals. The machine sort of does that but not in a row. I have 34 terminals that I wanted to program once and then push the button each time I built this item. The brochure made me believe that if I bought the Terminal ribbon like this it would re-program the printer when inserted and give me that strip of 34 alpha numeric non sequential lines of 2 characters each. Not even close. The 21+ only prints 4 lines and then you have to cut. When you do cut there is a blank leader strip and a blank trailing strip that are both longer than the printed part. It is a huge tape waster for terminal strips and you might want to consider the cost. Just like the pc printer market, the printer is cheap, they make their money on the expensive supplies. Im still not sure if Ill keep it as I do have a need for the occasional wire that needs marked and it is well suited for that purpose. The rechargeable battery is poorly engineered with you having to take it out to charge it. What were they thinking but it does not charge in the unit even though it is plugged in.
