They do the job

No complaints on this product, these walnut shells has served its purpose for purchasing. I am using them for pincushions, and they work great for that.

I use this for pincushions. They got it to me quickly. No holes in the package.

I buy this stuff all the time for my reptiles. The sand holds heat and lasts a long time. Its smooth and easy to clean with one of those sand filter things. The price is affordable too :) I actually get it from PetCo or PetSmart though to relieve shipping..

I use Zilla along with Nu Finish for cleaning and polishing reloading brass.

As stated above, I got this to use for pincushions not lizards. So I can’t speak to that, but it makes great weighty pincushions that don’t slide off your work surface. One thing I’m going to mention here. They make my pins and needles a little corroded like, and can be hard to get through the next project I use them on. So you might want to buy the smallest amount you can till you see if it’s a problem for you. This bag fills about 15 average size pincushions.

Do not buy this for a bearded dragon! I saw mixed reviews and decided to take a chance. When I swapped out my bearded sand for this, it did cut down on odor significantly. Cleaning wasnt too bad. Ultimately after a few months of this being in his cage I noticed him getting super skinny. He inadvertently ingested this when eating his live worms and crickets. LIZARDS CAN NOT PASS THIS! He got severely impacted to the point he essentially starved himself to death. No amount of soaking and force feeding helped my little monster. I wish I had never used this. My beardie was 3 1/2 years old and was full grown. Now he is gone. BTW, I had a vet who specializes in reptiles look at him, so this is not speculation. DONT BUY THIS FOR LIZARDS!!!

I use this as the media in a case tumbler. It is cheaper than the stuff sold expressly for the purpose and works just as well.
